    Hotel Gourish (also known as Hotel Le Pearl) in Mahabaleshwar, who cheated on me, threatened me and my family, unethically behaved, haressed us. I was on a trip with my family of total 8 people including kids, we checked in Mahabaleshwar on 13th of August 2017, it was a 2 night stay in Mahabaleshwar. Looking to holidays and rush in hotels in Mahabaleshwar during this time period, I had pre booked my hotel rooms in above mentioned hotel 4-5 days prior to my arrival in Mahabaleshwar. I had also paid the amount asked for by Hotel through IMPS/NEFT on the very same day in the Bank account of the hotel. The Hotel in turn confirmed me on mail that my booking has been confirmed for 2 night stays i.e. 13th Aug and 14th Aug 2017. They also communicated with me on whatsapp where they sent me the photographs of rooms and confirmed me that the rooms have been booked. On 12th Aug 2017 the hotel representative started calling me and told me that due to heavy rain the rooms are leaking water therefore its not possible to stay in rooms. Than I told them I will see the rooms first, if I find that the problem really persists and it is actually not possible to stay in the room than I will shift to other hotel. Than the representative told me that their is issue of Boiler too, I will get only bucket service for water, Generator not working due to short circuit, Lights not available etc etc. I started doubting on the things that how come all the problems arise one by one. I was doubting that the Hotel must have sold the rooms to someone else who provided them higher prices even when the rooms were booked for me. Therefore I insisted the hotel to show me the rooms first, which they kept on denying. I told them I will myself come to Hotel first, I will see the things and than only I will shift to other hotel if found all the problems genuine. On next day 13th Aug 2017 they again kept me calling since morning, and this time they crossed all the lines and told me that the owner of the hotel is absconding and hotel property is seized by the Police, and the Police will not let me enter the property, and if even after that I come to the Hotel property the Police will beat me with sticks and will hit me and my family and through us out of the hotel property. I told them I will still visit the Hotel and see the things. On 13th Aug 2017 evening I reached hotel with my family and the things I saw were surprising to me and my family. There was no such problem in the hotel, Guests were staying in the rooms, no police was there, it was not seized, even the rooms that we booked were absolutely fine and the hotel had sold the rooms on higher tariff to someone else. My family of total 8 people including kids and ladies were staying outside the hotel in rain and cold for 3 hours. I had 4 contact numbers of the hotel including mobile number of owner of the hotel Mr. Rajan, his son and two other staff member, all the phones were switched off as soon as we reached the Hotel. The receptionist disappeared for 3 hours when we raised our voice. This was now clear that the Hotel has sold the rooms to someone else who gave them higher money even when he accepted money from us 4-5 days back and confirmed us that rooms are booked. Such type of unethical behaviour, fraud and cheat can never be accepted. I was helpless at that time because I was having my family with me and it was already 9 P.M. and rain was getting heavier, and weather was freezing, No other hotel rooms were available in Mahabaleshwar where ever I enquired. Thus I had no other option left with me than to stay at a separate property provided by hotel which was 3-4 Kms far from the Hotel and was actually residence of a local family. I had planned to visit Panchgani on the way and thought of checking in the Hotel in Mahabaleshwar at 8-9 p.m., apx, but due to all these things and calls from hotel, I had to cancel my panchgani trip and had to rush to hotel first. Such type of People like Mr. Rajan (Owner of hotel Gourish), spoils the trips of People for few money, and even threatens the tourist by saying the things I mentioned above. They actually spoiled my trip, I came from Jaipur, Rajasthan, and all the expenses, my holidays moreover, incurred by me on the trip wasted just because of greed of a person and for few bucks. To my surprise there were several guests (3-4 came across me while we were there for 3 hours) who were extremely dissatisfied with the hotel and were shouting at the reception. Would suggest to not to opt to stay at this hotel even if they provide free accommodation.... More

    Sincere Review.. Good Hotel, Decent Food, OK House keeping

    Beautiful location in the middle of jungle but still close to the road that leads to City Market. We got a good deal being Country Club member. Rooms gave a feel of log cabin but we may have been given a Duplex with not all amenities. Few things seemed missing ex. Verandah overlooking forest did not had partition and was common with the adjacent Room. But it's not worth getting concerned. House keeping service is bit slow. The staff is good. SPA service is excellent. Affordable, decent, clean bathrooms, good food, value for money... More

    Location: Away from crowded Mahabaleshwar, yet not too far. Near old Mahabaleshwar temples and group of 6 - 7 important points. Also not far to Venna Lake area. Stay facility: Duplex Rooms are good. Property is maintained with essential cleanliness. Food: Superb taste of breakfast and food. Room service is good. Ample parking of @ 18 cars. Compact children playing facilities. They offer a small green trek behind resort, which is visitworthy. Card & NEFT facilities also offered. They can improve on games facility. Bicycles are available but limited in quantity. Spa & small gym available. Shekru, the local animal nested in hotel premises is a great opportunity to see. If one decides to crib, one can find many shortfalls, however trivial ignorance is bliss. Overall good to visit once if you are Country Club member.... More

  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
