    Hideous & Insalubrious (Nightmare) hotel

    This is the worst hotel I have ever laid my foot on. Here, I am narrating my horrendous one weeklong stay at this pathetic, shabby and shady hotel. The room is tiny, the bed linen dirty and stained. The bathroom and the commode are filled with hair, probably of the last resident. The hotel staff never bothered to clean up the mess and served the untidy room to the next guest. The room was cold but fortunately we were given a room heater. There was no geyser in the room. Every time we needed hot water, we had to call up the house keeping/reception so that they can turn on the boiler. However, to my utter disappointment, the boiler would be non-functional most of the time and I had to use spine chilling cold water in Delhi winter. Now, the hotel has complimentary breakfast, which consists of some horrid and distasteful paranthas and omelette with coffee or tea. The first night at the hotel went by somehow. However, we were in for a terrible surprise the second night and thereafter the following nights. The hotel has a shady lounge bar called Enigma. Though the hotel boast of free entry into the lounge but it is not so. The very next day of our stay, the hotel had organized some shoddy “Belly Dance” and was selling tickets for the entry. Now, the Enigma lounge is located on the ground floor and our room was located on the second floor. However, the hotel or rather their Enigma lounge in the name of "belly dance" played such loud ear bursting music till 4 am that it deafened our ears. The music was so loud that the room door was thumping and grinding under the impact of the super sonic noise. I could barely shut my eyes and remained awake throughout the night and suffered from a terrible headache. Repeated calls at the reception desk went unanswered. However, one guy from the hotel apologized the next day and said it would not be repeated but ironically it was repeated the very day. After making frantic calls at the reception around 2:30am, the music was lowered a tad bit. Then two days of less noise followed by some gruesome birthday celebration by a dozen of people in the very next room where we were put up. Again, a strong complain had to be made at the reception in order to lower the volume of the loud music and the roaring laughter emitting from the adjacent room. I was puzzled and wondered what kind of a hotel is it? If the hotel is unable to provide a peaceful sleep to the guests then they should STOP renting out rooms to people for stay. I could clearly hear all night long the loud chatters and whispers and laughter of both men and women and even young girls and boys. God knows what goes on there! The only reason I continued staying because my business partner has an easy and comfortable access to his work place, which was just a stone throw distance from the hotel. I came to attend a friend’s wedding and unfortunately due to the wedding season all my relatives’ places were packed up. All the previous reviews that my business partner read before booking this hotel are either paid or being written by the hotel staff themselves. Please check three reviews written back-to-back dated 2nd December 2014 and the horrible usage of English language in each of the previous reviews. Wish I could have also experienced something nicer in this hotel located in my city. Being from Delhi and now settled in a different city makes me feel terrible to write this review of a hotel which till date was the worst one ever I laid my foot on. I hope the hotel management would read this review and try to rectify the gross negligence, so that, no other unwary traveller had to suffer again.... More

    Whenever i stay in Delhi.. i always prefer to stay in Hotel Exxcel Inn because here is great staff and amenities to relax and enjoy. We book 2 rooms for our family and enjoyed our vacation.     I booked 2 rooms and stayed with my family. The hotel has very pleasing staff members and nice clean rooms. We all enjoyed our vacation.Both our rooms offered us all the amenities as told before check-in. I truly recommend the hotel specially those looking accommodations near airport and quieter place.... Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.

  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
