    Good budget option for Kolkota.

    The standard of budget options in Kolkota is very poor in general. I've stayed in a lot of places around Sudder Street / Marquis Street that are much worse that this. All the comments previously made about the lift are true. Many of the rooms are tiny too - but the deluxe rooms are actually pretty good. There is only one room like the picture in the advertisement with a sofa etc. However Aftab the Manager is extremely helpful and his staff are friendly and accommodating. You need to specifically request hot water if you want it giving 20 minutes notice. It's relatively clean for a budget place and has an excellent location away from all the other cheap tourist spots, but close enough to walk to them. Breakfast doesn't start until after 8 and after 9 some mornings which could be improved on. You might be able to get tea and toast if you have to go out before 8.30 am. It's difficult to find at first. Get to Gate 3 of Chandni Chowk Metro Station. Imagine coming out of the station - turn right and right again into the next side street ant it is about 10 doors down - red sign 10 metres above ground level. Finally - the Wi-Fi is free and pretty reliable.... More

    It is a LODGE and not a hotel.The room size is very very small and is over before you know it.The lift is very small and can barely accommodate one person.Not a place for families for sure.Please stay if you are on a tight budget.... More

    Awfully small lift, darkish but large room

    The Lift. OMG the lift is awful, one person could barely stand in there with one luggage. And were 5 ppl with 6 bags. Rooms were dark, not particularly very clean, OK type. Bath room was shabby. The hotel had seen some good day in distant past, but now not a good place to stay. Was cheap in AGODA, so booked, had free breakfast that we didn't avail. Staff was quite good, rooms were big. Close to New market, still had to taxi tho, so didn't do us much good. Has a low-mid range restaurant below, food was OK. All in all wont go back, not with family anyway.... More

    I booked this hotel for 2days for sort period tour to kolkata while return from sikkim, we checked in at 11:30 pm but I cant find the hotel when called the managers number he did not respond us, after several calls he not picked our calls, Hotel didnot have restaurant and do not serve 24 hr room service. They tell that room service is closed at 11pm.rooms are average, hotel is nearby market and metro. Overall average stay at hotel.... More

    i stayed for a single night towards the end of my trip in Kolkata and wanted to be near the city. it's in chandni chowk street so decent location, about 1-2 min walk from the Chandni Metro Station, the rooms were priced a little higher than others. The basic room i stayed was tiny (maybe just 6ft wide) compared to the rates and unfortunately near the elevator & staff room/pantry so noisy. i had initially booked though an online booking site and the reception did not have any information regarding that...the misunderstanding was eventually cleared up but it seems staffs do have clear communication between themselves and expects the guest to clean up the mess. Not a good impression. i liked it only due to the location, there are many modes of easy transport- walk, metro, auto, cab or buses.... More

  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.
