    Unfortunate experience

    We, group of 6 friends stayed at hotel on 4th and 5th February to attend a marriage ceremony close to the hotel. But there were lot of negative points which made the stay experience at hotel an unfortunate one. We booked three AC rooms to avoid the hot weather and have a pleasant stay, but the air conditioning in all three rooms did not work making the rooms stifling hot & stuffy specially during the night. We were not able to keep the windows open as outside conditions were not letting us to do so. AC only used to work when multiple requests were made. The room was smaller in size and also not so well maintained with basic amenities, also washrooms were stinking. Hot water geyser, just like AC would work on series of requests made at the reception. We had an extremely unpleasant experience on both days of our stay, primarily due to the absolute incompetency of the hotel staff: The room service was only for namesake, one of our friends had bad throat and she asked for hot water in morning 7am.,but she didn't get it into her room, until she walked down in hotel restaurant and asked for the same again during breakfast at around 10 am. Also to add room cleaning service was provided only if you go ahead and ask for it separately. So, in two days only one of the three rooms was cleaned once as it was asked only for that room. Receptionist in charge was extremely unhelpful & not even the least bit bothered!! : On the second day of our stay at night time, we wished to extend one more day of stay for single room, and along with that our friend, she listed all our problems(Not to forget, she hadn't been provided blanket). And then to our surprise the receptionist yelled at her and used foul language and even mentioned if we are having issues we should walk way from hotel right away at that time of night. So, in short the two day long stay was really unpleasant. We had checked the ratings of hotel which were good, but experience turned out to be horrible. The amount which we paid was not worth it!!.     We were in Chennai to attend our friends wedding on 5th and 6th February. We checked in to hotel dolphin park on 4th. We chose this hotel for the sole reason that it was close to the wedding Hall and that it had good ratings. I would not even give it a rating of 1. Firstly the quality of rooms was bad. The room we got had a can of coke still lying around. We had booked for AC rooms but they were hardly working. It needed special permission from the hotel staff to switch it on! Even after that we could operate it only in one temperature. In some rooms the AC was positioned in some corner near the restroom which made absolutely no sense. So our next option was to use the fan, but guess what, it runs only in one speed because the regulator is broken. The water heaters also would work only in specific time periods. The worst thing happened when one of our friends asked for a blanket in her room. The staff provided a bedsheet instead, saying that they don't have a blanket. So it's your luck if you get a room without a blanket. When we argued, the staff had the audacity to ask us why we booked this hotel if we knew it was bad!! He even went on to use foul language with our friend. This was completely unacceptable. The staff should atleast have the basic etiquette of respecting the customers. After all we have paid for our rooms. I would definitely NOT recommend any one to this hotel. If you have a better choice please go for it!... More

    Need some air flow in rooms which is most important for non-ac rooms and the place doesn't look safe; Windows are wide open w/o grills which is very bad. Service quality and persons taking care of service should be educated on what are basic things to do daily. For simple water refilling I have to call service boy who is not available and I was supposed to sleep w/o drinking water whole night. Or else keep one can on each floor and change that once it's over which might helped me on that day. Old flooring and infrastructure need some refinement.... More

    Terrible. Stay away!

    I'm not sure if the discounts being given by makemytrip are with hotel consent. Since the MMT discounted rates are lesser than the direct hotel rates the treatment we recieve from the hotel is pathetic as if we are staying for free and hotel is doing a favour to us. The room alloted was dirty to the core, dingy, telephone available but not working, tv available but no cable connection, bedsheet available but not washed, bathroom available but in worst condition than a public toilet. It was as if the toilet wasnt cleaned for ages. Walls had weird stains all over. When asked for a change of room or to clean the response was poor for hours saying we will check. After a struggle and plenty of follow ups alternate room was shown with better hygiene but water heater not available. Since we had come for a early morning function we would require hot water for early morning bath. Considering the response till now we felt the hot water ordering over room service early in the morning will be a vain we decided to check out as the money paid was not important than the hygiene in this hell. Thats when we were offered an alternate better room finally promising all amenities to be working. However the heater dint work the next day morning and ended up in a cold water bath early in the morning which has already given me cold and cough. Terrible food. Lots of power cuts.     good and clean with cheap rate all hotel staff cooperative quick check in . as shown in advisement all facility provided hotel have birthday party arrangement.next to vembulianmman temple near reputed super markets ,medical ,inox theater with in few meters main road to easy access for entire city... More

Booking Policies
  1. The standard check-in time is 12 AM and the standard check-out time is 12 AM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.

  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
