    Sadly, I got scammed by a taxi driver and a “visitor center.” The taxi driver told me he couldn’t get to my hotel (previously booked) because the street was blocked because of the local elections, so he took me to a visitor center. There, they took advantage of my terrible jet lag (and I have to admit, I am also guilty for falling for it) and booked me for an overnight stay at Neemrana Fort-Palace. Neemrana was fantastic, but on my return to Delhi, the agent booked me overnight at this hotel - Hotel De Gold. He told me it was 3-stars. It was like going from Heaven to Hell. The place is a dump. It is a Zero-stars hotel. Filthy. If you get booked here, do yourself a favor and cancel it.... More

    Hotel De Gold - Personification of Sloppy Service & High Handedness!!!

    Hotel De Gold!!! Over the course of my life, i have had the pleasure of residing in many hotels & cities. However, my stay at “Hotel De Gold, Karol Bagh, Delhi” has set the new benchmark for Sloppy Service & High Handedness!!! STAFF — (1/5) At the entrance one will be greeted (read berated) by a man with "Chandan Tikka” (Sandalwood Vermillion) smeared on his forehead. His superpower is “Being Rude” — to the point of being downright obnoxious! SERVICE — (1/5) Believe it or not — Zero (0) is actually a Good Rating for this hotel! — One has to call the reception 2-3 times to get Water / Toiletries delivered in the room. And this is after you requested for water while entering the hotel lobby after an arduous day. — IMPORTANT (if you intend to order food from a Food Delivery App / Grab Takeaway!) Please carry your own cutlery with you. The hotel staff will inform you (& rudely at that) that since you have not ordered food from the hotel — They can not provide you with Plates or bowls! This has got to be the most audacious response I’ve ever heard from any hotel property. Old & Faded Linen — The linen is not cleaned at regular intervals. Wi-Fi — Over the course of my stay in “De Gold”, the hotel Wi-Fi has not been functional for a single day. The reasons attributed range from — Network issue to no answer! Mobile Network Issue — There is barely any network coverage for most of the Mobile Service Providers — Airtel/Vodafone/Jio included. Hard Water — The water in the washroom is more salty than many rivers! Hot Water — There is no provision of Hot Water in the washroom. Food — The entire food menu is exorbitantly priced. No wonder, people (Me included) prefer not to order as long as possible! OVERALL — (1/5) Why the 1 rating you ask! — Well, cause the hotel is located in Karol Bagh, Central Delhi.     CHEATERS and should be punished

    One of my foreigner freind named Chang Che Li stayed there for a night, as he was not having any online booking of this property so went directly to this place and these guys asked him to pay $120 for one night and after so much request, they reduced the price for few dollars (THESE ARE THE HOTELS WHICH ARE DEMOLISHING INDIA's REPUTATION IN WORLD) They also forced him to sign on a paper for not complaining anywhere about there misbehave and mentioning that they provided good services, after only they gave him Wifi password. It's really ridiculous to have such kind of hospitality in the Capital city of the country. They have the setting with taxi drivers too and threaten foreign customers to checkin in this hotel instead of their reserved one , as due to festival all the roads are blocked and going to there hotel would be dangerous. #CHEATERS ... Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
