    I request all those single travellers never to visit City Tower, Chennai. I made a grave mistake of taking a room here and paid an exorbitant price for a stay of 8 hours ! I paid almost 3 times the online rate. My train reached late and I didn't want to take a chance with the rough taxi drivers Chennai is infamous for ! So took up accommodation at City Tower which is adjacent to Platform 1. The room allotted didn't have water and cockroaches were happily living off me. The tap fittings are old and leaky. It's close to the Railway station and that's the only plus I could think of ! Overall Rating is 4.5/10 ( Reception.open 24 hours) Food : Not Available inside but they have a restaurant outside. Room : 2/10 Front Office : 4/10 House Keeping: 3/10 In a nutshell, if you want to avoid being heckled and harassed by the infamous drivers of Chennai, then City Tower is close by to the Railway station....     We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the Chennai Central Railway Station. It is a short walk (couple of minutes) from the station, located on the Wall Tax Road. The Room was fairly clean, clean bed sheets and towels. Bathroom was fairly clean too. Running Hot water was available. The newspaper was delivered promptly early in the morning. The complementary buffet breakfast at their restaurant on the ground floor was tasty and sumptuous. Room Service was prompt. Staff was very polite and helpful.... More

    The room tariff charged by this hotel for a standard double bed a/c room is not worth the money charged. Better to book rooms in this hotel online via various sites to get some discounts. Complimentary breakfast is average and kinda filling. The mattresses in the rooms are not soft and can cause back pain.... More

Situated roughly 5.5 Km from the Marina Beach, Hotel City Tower Next to Railway Station is one of the business hotels in Chennai. This hotel is easily reachable from the Chennai Central Railway Station, which is about 180 meter from the property.The hotel comprises 60 guest rooms equipped with modern amenities.   1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
