It is very good hotel with courteous service done with old charm. Rooms are king size which are rare nowadays. Their size if room can easily be bifurcated into two and sold as two rooms in chennai. So far so good. But now the minuses. First the king size bathrooms do not have ventilation. The bath fittings are very old and rickety. The bathrooms smell bad. Next is the restaurant which is tasty serves only non veg or atleast it is their speciality. No dosa only mutton biriyani.

We stayed at the family suite at the Blue Diamond. It is well located on Poonamalee High Road near Dasaprakash and close to the Central and Egmore Railway stations. The rooms are large and comfortable with great service - each floor has a person assigned and is quick to assist whatever you need. The blue diamond restaurant has the finest biryanis in the city - and the overall quality of food is fantastic. A great place to stay.... More
