    Hotel Balwas turned out to be a great place to stay. The staff are very friendly. It was nice to find this place in a city that doesn't seem to cater much to foreign tourists. There are a few places in the area to stay, but this one is a great hotel. The price is reasonable, the room was very clean, and wifi is available with a code you can get from the reception desk. If you want a hot shower, do it during the day, if possible. That's when the water seems to be hottest. I would strongly recommend Hotel Balwas to anyone passing through Ahmedabad who needs a place to stay.... More

    After an unexpected visit to the hospital and missed flight, we turned up at 4am and they couldn't be more helpful from the moment we entered the doors. The loveliest staff members were come across, they gave good hotel room service and helped with booking our flights. Rooms are modern, clean with very cosy blankets and mattresses.     We arrived early morning (6:30 am) in hotel Balwas after a 12 hour trip in a sleeper bus. The hotel was not fully booked and staff was able to grant us an early check-in, which was, for obvious reasons, very welcome. The beds were, compared to Indian standards, very comfortable but may be disapointing if you are only used to Western beds. Roomservice was very helpful. We ordered cheese omelets with toast (which are not on the menu) but the guy at the reception explained our order very well to the kitchen and we ate several very nice cheese omelets during our three night stay here. The guy delivering the food showed us which can was holding the salt by sprinkling it on the floor, which was somewhat odd and funny at the same time. Be sure to lock the door when you do not want to be disturbed, staff can tend to walk in unannounced. When we were here this hotel had 24-hour check-out.... More

    Hotel is situated in the busy relief road.Room is spacious neat.has a functional TV.linen is clean But the major flaw is the toilet which is dirty and not properly maintained.Another drawback is that the hotel doesn't have lift .Staff is good and courteous..As the hotel is in a busy road we have to face noise all the day.... I had booked the hotel online & paid the full amount in advance but I was made to wait for a few minutes because of some dispute/ lack of communication with their online booking partner ezee cloud.   4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
