    Very rude staff behaviour

    My return train from Kolkata was in the midnight and therefore a hotel in the close proximity of the railway station was the obvious logical choice for me. Hence this one. Also another reason for selecting OYO rooms was that they advertise their cheap rates and the convenience of booking online instead of hotel hunting. But I believe although this hotel has purchased the OYO franchise, they have their own set of rules laid down. I booked a single accommodation, but double bed room for convenience, but upon arriving I was initially given a similar room, but all of a sudden the staff arrived and told me to vacate the room as I would be shifted to another one. I agreed but found they have shifted me to a single bed room. On enquiring at the reception they told me that they have a policy of giving single bed to solo travellers. I showed them the booking voucher, but still they would not yield. It turned into a bitter tussle, at the end of which they gave me probably the worst double bed room of their hotel.     Decent Rooms... Not Value for Money

    Only positive about the Hotel is its proximity to Howrah Station. The Hotel Staffs were very pokie and was disturbing. The hotel was totally unprofessional in staff, management, hygiene etc. There was guest movement in night which disturbed sleep. The staffs used to shout at top of the voices with no concern to the guests staying there. Checkout was handled by the cleaning boy and the staff did not bother coming to the reception. Overall....     WRONG COMMITMENT BY OYO ROOMS, RUDE ASHOKA REGENCY STAFFS. PATHETIC SERVICE

    Rude receptionist, Wrong Commitments by OYO ROOMS. "I HAD BOOKED THIS HOTEL BY OYO ROOMS" - I have appointment with doctor of Applo Geneagles so i planned to stay in a hotel near Howrah railway station and i planned to book hotel via OYO ROOMS. I have mentioned everything to the OYO hotel customer support that i am visiting to Howrah with my Sister in law as my brother is living in other state due to his job. OYO customer support executive told me that not an issue and they cofirmed that i will not face any issue only we both have to submit our id proofs. I have agreed on that and reached to Kolkata. My check in time was 2:30PM but due to some urgent checkups of my nephew i reached to hotel at 8PM. When i have reached there i had submitted my id proof and hotel receptionist who was very rude asked me to submit my id proofs. i submitted my ids they he asked me about the relationship i told them the lady with me is my sister in law then he directly denied to book room for me in the hotel even before reaching the hotel i have confirmed my booking with the hotel owner mr. Manish. Apart from it he also started talking with me in very bad way. Also my plan was to stay in hotel from 31st July 2017 from 2:30PM to 1st Aug 2017, 5 PM. OYO have committed me that if i will stay there till 5PM then i have to pay 0 to 30% for next day but hotel receptionist directly denied that he told me even i will stay till 5 PM next day i have to pay in full.. I mentioned that OYO ROOM executives told me that i have to pay only 0 to 30% based on some terms and conditions then hotel receptionist told me that OYO have some other rules while we have some other rules and we are not following all the rules of OYO... Very dirty rooms, no proper management, wrong commitment . This hotel as well as the OYO room not recommended. Not recommended.. They are costing double charge also.. OYO Committed that in hotel there were laundry and many other facilities while all the facilities were paid. If we have to take any additional facilities then we must have to pay. Apart from it, they are ordering non hygienic food from outside local hotels of Howrah railway station and charging more than double for foods.. ******BEWARE FROM OYO ROOM****** BEWARE FROM ASHOKA REGENCY******... Booking Policies
  1. The standard check-in time is 12 PM and the standard check-out time is 11 AM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
