Cancelled my booking without notifying me

Horrible...we had the room booked in advance to spend the night after our flight arrived at 3am, only to go to the hotel and find out they have no room for us. They did not notify us or contact us, then they tell us that we called and cancelled the room, when we did not. Travelling with 3 children and my wife, at 3 am, we had to search for another hotel in Delhi. Do not book with them!!!

I don’t want to post a mean review, simply for reference for other travellers that perhaps had my expectation when booking:
The rates are very affordable at £30 a night, so of course the expectation of any luxury is not there, simply requiring a basic, clean accommodation for transit, as it’s next to the airport. I have to say all the staff were wonderful and very pleasant and professional, however the room we were given was a health hazard.
From a health and safety perspective, the dampness, you could feel it in your bones after 5 minutes of being in the room, this is probably due to there no being any ventilation as the fake window is actually a wall, so no natural light or air. The sofas looked tatty, mouldy and musty, full of stains. The bathroom was a shower room with a bucket and did not feel clean and the bedding had stains.
From a comfort perspective, it was like a prison room caving in, the ceiling had exposed cabling, empty minibar, most uninviting space I have even been in, I would rather sleep at the airport.
My husband and I spent a whole 15 minutes in the room, whilst booking in to a holiday inn round the corner (what a difference £80 makes) and told management we had been bumped on to a flight. We felt terrible leaving without giving proper feedback, as 2 people from management came out to ask if there were any problems with the room, but to be honest we just needed to get out of there and felt if they were asking us, they really did have a problem, they need to understand that a hotel room can not be sold in that state, I know this is India but you are next to the airport and selling rooms to international clients.
In any case we paid for the room and felt bad but there was no way we could spend a night there or even an hour, it was thoroughly depressing.
I really do hope management try to improve a few key things :
- furniture : sofas need throwing away
-lighting : a few lamps and lighting change might make the room more inviting
- bathroom : proper shower, fresh paint, new clean units
- bedding : ensure it is clean and stain free
- dampness and ventilation : this needs to be sorted out

The hotel is really unprofessional and not suitable .The food is really horrible and when you complain they just neglect.No hot water in the room.Breakfast was really horrible just dumped in a hall and no body to serve or give water.you need to just find the place come,eat and go
Amazing changes in a year

our last stay was a year back was disaster....Sorry to say but this we have seen improvements in very cheap price almost half of our last stay price and double of improvements but rooms are still old fashion in expect of lights in room. stayed with group of my friends and I always book for my friends this time they did not teased me :)..keep it up alpine tree. Natalia

Family liked the stay here. Buffet breakfast was provided in basement in restaurant by hotel. I like the stay here. Rooms are not new but comfortable and clean . Even bathrooms are very clean.wifi works good. I recommend this hotel to other travelers for short stay. But this hotel is best near subway station in price expect.
