An excellent stay at Bloo Lagoon
on Jan 8, 2020
The staff at Bloo Lagoon are friendly and helpful and nothing is too much of a problem for them. The accommodation is very good. The mosquito nets in the bedrooms are very effective and work nicely in conjunction with the air conditioning. The restaurant is very good although more variety at breakfast would be an improvement. the swimming pool is superb along with the scenery.

Great place! We enjoyed our stay very much! The only question was about air conditioner in one of the room - it was not at all. So we needed to take another villa in addition, which was excellent. Thank you for Bloo Lagoon stuff a lot for the attention and flexibility!

Every luxurious Balinese hut in this village is unique and they all have stunning views of the ocean. Only a few have air conditioning in one bedroom only, and I believe only one has A/C in two bedrooms. The rest have no A/C. All living areas are outdoors and you are open to the humidity. I say this to set the right expectation. If you can handle humidity then you will love this place.
The staff are very caring and management does everything possible to make people happy.
This remote village suffers a lot of electricity outages but if you don’t need A/C then there isn’t much need for it. The pool and bar remain open, so you don’t need more than that!
The restaurant is fabulous with very fresh ingredients. The staff are very pleasant and wanting to please.
This is located near to a wonderful reef and tour operators willing to take you out snorkelling at discounted rates.
Overpriced for the most expensive property on the east coast

We were originally scheduled to be here for 3 nights. We left after two nights because we couldn't take it anymore. The 98 degree heat, swarm of ants, lizards, lightning bugs, mosquitos, cockroaches and, the straw that broke our backs, a frog in the bedroom. Our unit 1A was not air conditioned and that was a very important factor in making this hotel a bad memory for us. There was open sewage next to our villa. There were air conditioned rooms available but nowhere in the booking did it say that we weren't getting a unit with aircon. The booking terms are vague and we assumed we were getting an AC room. They offered us an AC villa after we declared our intention to check out early, this is disingenuous and leaves a bad taste in my mouth. My daughter is covered with mosquito bites and my wife is feverish. We were barely able to think in the villa given the intense heat and humidity.
This is not our definition of environmentally responsible tourism.
We're New Yorkers, we're tough and we have traveled extensively in Asia and Europe. We grew up in Asia and we are well aware of how to deal with house pests. This place is basically a tent with open access to the bugs and pests. At roughly 170 USD per night this is a ripoff. Sloppy management, buyer beware.
