    good location but poor maintenance

    I stayed this hotel 4-5 times in past 2 years, & overall the hotel is a good location, very near to EM Bypass & Ruby Hospital. But the hotel is not properly maintained as the rooms need many repair works. Lift is also required repair works. Service persons need to be more polite as per my experience. Sometimes I experienced bad smell from the fish in my diner.... More

    Nice Low Budget hotel in Posh Area of Kolkata

    Stayed in this hotel during weekend in March this year. If you are looking for low cost budget hotel in Ballygunge Posh Area , this is good one. But Rooms are small , so 1 night stay is ok here. well connected place. Near by Hiland International is there but bit costly compared to Hiland Inn. Overall good experience. Recommended for budget travellers.... More

    Bad service leading to overall very bad experience

    Hotel's only advantage is convenient location, i had booked a room through makemytrip, the room given to me on arrival was on the ground floor adjacent to the reception. With disturbance all the time, catching a good sleep was out of question. Room itself was very small with a pillar right in the middle. Bathroom was okayish. The person at reception was bad mannered and not at all cooperative. Breakfast offered was in a congested place, with rocky tables and chairs, an no one was bothered to look into it. while checking out the reception fellow lied that their card machines are not working and that i have to pay cash. There was no mention of it at the time of check in. On repeatedly insisting that i have an important meeting to catch up, they sent an errand boy along with me to hunt for ATM's with cash(demonetisation effect). After finding none and threatening of complaining to police, the shady hotel, took out the machine hidden from plain sight. Attempts were then made to fool, by pulling out the telephone wire and not swiping card properly and trying to blame it on the machine. After much commotion and me taking the machine into hands and swiping the card, payment was made. To give a bill, again it was told printer is out of ink. Overall it was a very bad experience. Shady hotels given a renovation but attitude stays the same..fleece customer to make a quick buck... More

    Great location but Poor Management

    Poor management n mistrust between staff makes this hotel poor in over all service. Stayed for 3-4 days, rooms not fit for 3+ 1 familiies. OK for bachelors. Inner staff distrust also is a cause of concern here as they do not talk well for their own peers. Manager Tanmay is a nice guy but his folks are not upto mark. All that he promised were never kept in line to our expectations.... More

    BEWARE of this hotel.... I have done the booking in Highland Inn hotel through MakeMyTrip for 1 night. At the time of check-in the Highland Inn hotel staff refused to give any room on the confirmed booking id. They have provided an alternative room in another hotel across the street which was not as per the standard of Highland Inn (MakeMyTrip 's VALUE+ assurance). The room provided to guests in other hotel are on the ground floor with bad smell. It was definitely of lower quality room. The Highland Inn staff said that there are some renovations going on - so they cannot provide room in-spite of confirmed booking I had. Below are my concerns: 1. why the Highland Inn hotel is taking bookings on MakeMytrip? 2. They are cheating on customer showing nice room pics on MakeMytrip website - and then sending the customers to lower quality of hotel across the street. 3. I am a regular customer of MakeMyTrip. Seeing the MakeMyTrip 's VALUE+ assurance, I have booked the hotel for my guest. Now myself and guests are very unsatisfied by the type of service from MakeMytrip and Highland Inn hotel. 4. The necessary action to be taken against the Highland Inn hotel so that no other customer can be cheated in future. I am against this unethical and unprofessional tactics of Highland Inn Hotel (MakeMyTrip 's VALUE+ assurance) which I was subjected to. Regards.... More

  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
