    Terrible stay.

    The pillow cover and sheets were dirty with stains. I asked for tea which arrived after half an hour in cup saucer uncovered. I left the room within an hour but they made me pay for 2 days. There's no manager present. Horrid experience.... More

    SIMPLY AVOID THIS TERRIBLE PROPERTY !!!

    We booked this property through Oyo and surprisingly this is enlisted as OYO Premium property, while this is poorer than a road side lodge. The room at a glance was ok type. As we were to spend only few hrs so we decided to stay. But slowly their real picture came out. The room and toilet was stinking. Bedsheet and towels was too dirty and spotted. We requested to change the sheet, but they do not have a second one to change it !!! They have a single staff who is nasty like a beggar sitting on the road. As OYO ensures spotless linen, we kept asking for a fresh bedsheet and towel as it was not possible to use those. The nasty staff refused to give that and holding the towel on his dirty cloth he explained it is very much clean. After that it was not of further use at any cost. Room and toilet are probably not cleaned for long. The biggest surprise came when we asked about breakfast as we were to check out early in the morning. They said we have fixed breakfast of 4 puris or 2 toasts with butter (not even an egg). We said is this you consider as a complimentary breakfast what other OYO rooms provide ? 2 slices of bread we offer to every street dogs roaming outside my house in the morning. How can you consider it as a breakfast ? And specially when you are charging approx. Rs.2000/- for this room. The person sitting in so called reception had no manners in talking to guests. It was like he is doing us a favour by giving rooms. More over, they have no parking space, though it was mentioned in OYO site that they have so. It was our selection criteria also. We parked the car in open road, which is not at all safe. They do not have wi-fi also, which is another service promised by OYO. After absolute unprofessional behavior we decided to leave the guest house and we left it when it was 11.00 pm !!! While leaving we needed to shout on the guy to open the lock in the gate, as he was not ready for that also. SIMPLY AVOID THIS UNHYGIENIC AND DISGUSTING PROPERTY.... More

Overview

Heavens Halt is a beautiful property offering 7 rooms in the Lake Town area of Kolkata. This guest-house offers a decent stay to business and leisure travellers who are on a budget trip to the city. The airport is not very far at 7.5 km whereas Espalande is at 9 km. A nice banquet hall accommodates upto 30 people for small functions like birthdays and anniversaries. A godrej secured vault, backup generators, room service from 6.50 am to 11 pm, laundryand luggage storage, security facility are some of the conveniences. Free, wireless and high speed internet access, airport transfers at surcharge, complimentary breakfast are some of the amenities that ensure you have a comfortable stay.

Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
