    Feels like your luxury Home rather than a hotel

    This is a very small property with just 6 rooms, located in heart of ooty and very close to charing cross. This has been built as a guest house it seems and hence the rooms are not of standard size and every room looks different. This is not a complaint about the rooms. The rooms are really cosy and spacious. We went as two families and took two rooms in the first floor. Since this is a new property, the people managing it needs to be more aware of the house-keeping and other needs of the guests and do that in a more organised manner. the current manager, Mr. Ramesh is very helpful and very courteous. The second floor contains a pool table, TT and carrom board alongwith a library of so many story books. that was a nice setup. The breakfast in the morning had a home touch and the taste was good. the lady cook was very helpful, but the cleaniness must be adhered to and there is no table/chair provided in the pantry to have the buffet breakfast. Regarding the cleaniness, all the guests used plates were kept near the corn flakes counter itself and hence none of the guests were willing to take the corn flakes at all. The washrooms are not well organised. in one of the rooms, there was no towel rod at all. these are small irritants that the management has to take care. The living room in the first floor with cosy couch, TV and DVD player provided a perfect home ambience. If the tour party consists of 3-4 families, then I think this resort would be ideal as it would be like our own home, Lunch & dinner are not normally served here, but that is not a problem because within 0.5 km, you have umpteen number of very good hotels. Remember, since this hotel is within the city, there would not be any hill view or valley view through your windows. be prepared for that. on either side, there are houses very close by and hence opening the window is out of question....     It's a nice homely Villa...the staff are very friendly and helpful...but this is not a hotel so there are cons.....No power backup..so if power goes, which happens often, then no hot water....also no restaurant...lots of flies...... But still a nice place, near the city centre itself.....not a bad place to stay... More

    GOOD VILLA PRIME LOCALITY

    Hi. We went to the Havelock villa in oct 15 as a family of 18 people. We booked all the 6 rooms and as a result the whole villa and its amenities were at our disposal fully without any other people.     Great first impression, but doesn't live up to it

    We booked the entire villa recently. And the first impression was very good. It looked neat, with good amenities to boot. The food quality, breakfast, and the few times we got something custom cooked was quite good. We were letdown in a few areas. Hot water came in brownish color! Had to constantly follow up for it to be kept switched on. WiFi is switched off and have to constantly ask for it to be switched on. Towels weren't replaced! The overarching feel is that there is a constant attempt to try and keep costs down to a minimum. Noble goal, but not at the cost of customer experience. The top floor was quite nice - TT and pool tables. The home theatre again promised a great experience, but fell quite short, as it cannot project beyond an hour and switches off (and refuses to restart!).... The caretaker as well as Mr.Ramesh were quite friendly and approachable. However, the feeling one is left is that they have strict instructions to constantly try and keep all OpEx down to the barest minimum... Location-wise, very good locality, close to the botanical gardens. Experience could have been a lot more positive, given the infrastructure is all in the right place. Hopefully, the management fixes these issues. Then would have no qualms in recommending it.... More

Overview

Havelock Leisure in Ooty is a fully-enclosed, luxury Villa with a private pool and a tropical garden. Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
