Best stay in Chennai near Chennai trade Center

I went to Chennai on 13th - 16th December 2017 and stayed in Hablis. Everything was so good including the bar, restaurant, rooms, swimming pool, gym, aqua gym. It was amazing experience. I would recommend this hotel if you want to stay near to Chennai airport or Chennai trade center.
Good value for the money

This is centrally located, easy to get to the airport and overall a great deal for the money. The free pickup and drop off from the airport is an added incentive. The rooms are comfortable and the fitness facility is functional. The one area where they could improve is service: drinks, dinner orders, etc. take an unusually long time. The food is average/above average. But as I said, overall good value.
Five star hotel with worst service and hospatality.

Hablis hotel was close to my work location hence this time i choose to stay in this hotel to get new experience along with my colleague. However this was worst experience of my stay, had never before in any other hotel.
a) Staff was very rude at reception. I booked my hotel stay for 3 days initially. later on due to official work it was to extend further. Hence we informed at reception to extended our stay for another some day and it was confirmed by the receptionist. Later on during the customer meeting at 12:00 PM, we received the call from hotel to check out the rooms. We were asked to immediately checkout the room otherwise we will be charged for full day rent to retain the room. Hotel staff was very rude in talking, even we informed that their morning staff has already confirmed our extended stay.
He was not ready to listen and forced us to leave our customer meeting in the middle to check out the room.
b) Hotel staff is careless to handle the customer important documents. - During the check-in my colleague given his photo ID as per hotel requirement and he forget to take it back. We stayed in the hotel for 3 days however hotel staff were never bothered to return back the same or inform us. It was noticed by my colleague at the airport after10 days.
This hotel is terrible and not worth to stay.
Deteriorating service quality

Stayed here on more than 3 occasions but this time I could see a noticeable change... it took more than 20min to check in. Rooms were not ready even when we reached at 1PM. While checking out we were in hurry and just grabbed the invoice copy. after reaching home, we found that only the amount paid at check out time is mentioned whereas amount paid thru online as advance is not mentioned. Also we had two room and got one invoice. Tried to get a revised copy but its been 3 days and had to make 6-8 calls and yet to received new copy. Also we told that airport drop required well in advance ( to be precise at 5:10AM) but the cab arrived only at 5:35AM. another 5 min we would have missed our flight.
Thought this could be a one of the case, tried to reach some managers but to my surprised there is only one contact mail and phone number for outside world and it reaches the same persons who messed up our case. hope they will come up with alternative contact mail/phone no so that customers like me can reach higher ups, if they have a heart to listen to...
If you are looking to stay close to airport and want to choose this hotel, then be aware. start checking out 1 hr in advance and waste your time.
Five star hotel with three star service

The rooms are clean and tidy. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have seen around that place.
The bar is nice with the snooker table. If you sit in the bar the music played is so loud that you will not be able to listen to your friends talk. When complained about the loud music we were asked to shift to a corner where the loudness still the same
This hotel is nice but please make sure that you do not get any fever. I developed slight fever and wanted take a paracetamol, when called the receptionist I was told that they don't have one and it is available just outside the hotel. Then I had to go and fetch one
Next day morning when I asked the lobby manager about the paracetamol he said that it is there in the first aid box. When I asked him to show me the paracetamol was not there.
I wish staff can be more cheerful and friendly it takes some effort to remain on top when you reach there. This was my first visit and I'm totally disappointed.
