    Poor service and poor facilities!!

    I chose this hotel based on some reviews in Booking.com . I had a look at the pictures posted of the rooms and found them to be reasonable quality. Upon checking into the hotel, you discover that it a hotel converted from some other property. The place was not built as a hotel. There is a minuscule reception office, which looks more like a security counter. Anyways after checking into the room, we found that the hotel has no restaurant attached to property. There are two close options available (housed in the same building) and both have attached bars and maybe unsuitable for families. Further both of these restaurants serve non-Indian food, one is a Japanese restaurant and the other a continental restaurant. So for regular Indian folks wanting to go for Indian cuisine is an impossibility if you check into the hotel. We had to go for lunch outside at the neighborhood and found a decent Indo-Chinese restaurant located in the Raintree hotel. In the evening we wanted to have some tea/coffee and some snacks. Tea is unavailable (what a joke!!). Anyways we were forced to order coffee (cappuccino) and French fries. The coffee was an utterly disgusting coffee I have ever had. French fries were okay. I do not know from where these two items were sourced since the hotel, as mentioned earlier, does not have a restaurant attached to the property. Morning breakfast is even more bizarre. Three options available: vegetarian continental, non-vegetarian continental and Indian breakfast. However the staff warned us saying that we should avoid ordering Indian breakfast since they have to pre-order it from a restaurant located not very close to the hotel. So by the time the breakfast gets delivered, it is not in good quality anymore. Makes complete sense if someone were to order Dosa as an item in the Indian breakfast option. We ordered a set non-vegetarian continental breakfast for us. It was okay. It is good to mention here that quantity is an issue served in the breakfast menu. So guests should take note of this. Finally I can only say that I cannot recommend the hotel enough for guests. Location of property is good but without a proper restaurant attached with property, it can be challenging to spend more than one day at the hotel. I think management should look into these issues and try to improve things. It seems staff have apprised senior management about the issues pointed out by guests, but senior management (owner) seems to turn a blind eye to their suggestions for improvement.... More

    Comfortable, business oriented stay

    As the name suggest, it is for people on business, not for families on vacation. Facilites include excellent wifi, desk space, good sized beds, clean bathrooms, no musty smells. Housekeeping is good. Check in was smooth and so was checkout. Meals can be ordered in the room from a restaurant attached to the hotel. Delivery is on time. Breakfast if in your booking option consists of 3 choices- veg or nonveg continental and South Indian. Breakfast is sumptious, brought to your room, as there is no lobby or dining place here. There are however small sofas strategically placed on each floor for short meetings or waiting guests. The only con was that the posh bar downstairs is a little loud at night. All in all a great place to stay, value for money.... More

    My mother and I started the trip very pleasantly with confirmation of an early check-in a day early only to arrive and be told that we might have to check out early the next day because God forbid we checked in early. We entered a very pleasant room with limited amenities. Ultimately we made a dozen calls to ask for basic necessities of towel, cups, etc. The attitude of the staff is appauling. Most of them had the attitude that they were right and that we were told so. The worst part was when we asked for a bottle of water and two cups for tea, they said "we have already sent you cups this morning and we only offer two bottles of water complimentary". If you would like to feel guilty for your stay, this place is the best place you can book in chennai.... More

    I paid in advance yet when I reached there I was told there are no rooms go to another HOTEL!!!?? I PAID THE MONEY AND THEY WERE TELLING ME GO ELSEWHERE!!!!! After fighting for a room I got one, to my horror it was the worst mistake of my life, pathetic breakfast, I couldn't sleep on the extra bed, They dont have a kitchen!!! Velveteen Rabbit has nothing to do with Chamiers Grey suit!! The hotel doesn't even serve Tea!!! Pathetic!!... More

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.

  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
