Excellent location but more like a homestay

The service is good though it's kinda homestay. You will not get a feeling that you are staying in a resort.
The location is very good. Nice view from room gallery. But it is far away from Ooty and also not close to main road.
Rooms are good and well maintained.

Visited Kotagiri and stayed at Green nest in the month of September. A very calm ad cool place with excellent view of tea plantations. One can take a stroll in the tea plantations and enjoy the cool climate.
Good for another honeymoon

Royal rooms are good. Liked the privacy and staff services. Food was good. Liquor was not available. It's a BYOB type. Access is by a solitary road. A small trek to the hilltop which can be done by all is good.
Gem in Kotagiri !

Green Nest was chosen after looking at TripAdvisor reviews of the properties to stay at Kotagiri.
We were not disappointed!
It is a little dicey to find the place. It is a couple of kilometers away from Kotagiri town, off the Kotagiri-Ooty Road. So be sure to follow the directions given. The last stretch especially, as it is no more than a mud road, where only one vehicle can go – not much space for vehicles to cross.
The property itself is nice. Not many rooms. So no ‘crowding’;
Nice rooms – we had chosen the rooms that had a direct view of the valley and tea garden.
There is a small garden with a nice covered sitting area. A place to sip tea and much some biscuits
The food you get is sort of functional, both North and South Indian. The great thing is vegetables are FRESH, and the food is served hot-hot! The breakfast spread is decent.
The place is very quiet as the road ends at Green Nest!
There a large tea garden just after the property – great place to walk with tea bushes all around you!
There is a largish play area within the property , with a nice walking path around it.. But then it is much nicer to walk around in the adjoining tea garden !
Parking space is appears adequate if all rooms are not occupied. (When we stayed, only 3-4 rooms were occupied). But I think it may be a tight squeeze when all rooms are occupied.
So, overall a great retreat. Highly recommended
Resort or a Home Stay !!

A isolated semi resort surrounded with some beautiful view and good rooms. Don't expect any frill there, overall the resort is cramped and small, all fun is really outside for good nature walk and mild trek amidst tea gardens. Food was good but boy its expensive veg dishes at par with non-veg. Good for a short stay and you should have no expectation !!.
Accessibility is not that easy, Google maps does a good job, last stretch needs guts as roads are not good.
