A beautiful location
on Oct 31, 2017
We stayed here as a group of 45, adults, ladies, children all inclusive from 28-29 Oct 17. As far as the location and property is concerned, it’s beautiful, Green and has a rustic charm. As far as the facilities are concerned it’s probably below average and over priced. The team at the venue is helpful and up to task if you take charge. It would not be possible for you to even determine who is receptionist or manager or chef or driver or steward or whatever unless you particularly embark on a mission to do so! There are arrangements for bonfire and in a big group like ours, it was fun. The people at property can arrange for trek and Jeep safaris, cost to tea factory etc which are all worth doing. The view of the Phantom Head ( the hill from where earlier hang gliding use to happen) is imposing. The hill itself is exiting and inviting. Trek to top is little difficult but would be worth every breath. Overall it was a great time together with families and friends. The staff managed to meet all our basic requirements.

One of the worst properties I've visited
on Jan 2, 2016
By far the worst hotel stay experience of my life so far!
I booked this place for 31st night after reading some good/great reviews of this property. The booking voucher even read that the hotel might charge around 1500 for gala dinner on 31st night...hence the expectation was of a beautiful view from a nice property with a gala dinner/event to see off 31st Dec.
Reached the place around 5:30 in the evening after going thru some real bad roads on approach. The entry to the property itself felt like a lost/discarded world. On check-in, got the first view of the horrendous room - with walls full of fungal growth, floors and spaces full of dust, cobwebs and lizard droppings!
The bigger problem was we (I and my wife) had to put up with this place as we were 30kms off Munnar on a hilltop with narrow roads at 6pm (almost dark) on a 31st Dec when getting another booking was near impossible.
Somehow I got the folks around to superficially sweep the room and get some dust and webs out for the place to be at least livable. The pillows were stained to black, the toilet was stained, tables and tops had droppings...In short not at all something you would want from a property for which you paid a mighty Rs4500!
Then came the Rs 350/person buffet dinner. Nothing edible was served. None of the fellow occupants could finish half a serving - most of us ate just some papad and went back!
I can go on and on describing this place, but the point is I would like forums like this to come up with a formal mechanism of evaluating such places and also de-listing them as its a traveller's nightmare!
Overpriced stay in a still constructing resort
on Oct 27, 2015
There are three positive things about this resort(?); calm environment, generous staff and reasonably priced food. The very first impression will give you the picture of an abandoned resort inside some jungle. The management should offer the rooms at some discounted price(<2000) until they make everything up to a 3 star resort as advertised.
Location is Excellent

Location - Excellent
Food - Average
Hospitality - Good
Room Maintenace - Average
Service Boys - Active and helpful.
Management has to increase the manpower to service guests, Rooms had to be maintained other wise advantage of the location will be of no use.
