    While we were in Jammu, we booked this Hotel from Goibibo and we got it for Cheap... But as promised there was no Wifi no free breakfast..the staff were not helpful atall.. When i told them that i have a flight at night the guy charged me full for the day price.. Average! I have photographes but theae place ia not worth...... More

    THE GRAND SARTAJ IS NOT GRAND

    My wife and I stayed at the Grand Sartaj Hotel some years ago and found that it needs a lot to be done to make it grand. The bedrooms need renovation and improvement. I found some tacks to a base sheet on the bed were not hammered in correctly and were sharp. Staff were called to attend to sharp tacks. Hygiene in the toilet and bathroom area could be better. Breakfasts were poor but dinner meals were better. My wife and I had our meals at a very good restaurant in Green Park which where the food was great. I always tipped the waiters for prompt and good service with hot tasty meals to my taste. One good feature was sitting out on the large balcony where we could watch the passing scene including beggars in clothing made from bags. When we wanted an Auto we tipped the staff on the doorway at the Grand Sartaj. He was very good at getting a good auto driver for us. We went for many drives such up to the steep hills of Shimla and down to see the beautiful Grand Taj Mahal. We took some great photos there including the ladies dressed in colourful Indian Dress. As our Auto Driver went along the good roads he pointed to the peasants in the fields and other scenes we should see. We got a real feel for the sprit of India. Later, on another journey to Europe, I broke my journey to see my daughter who was then married to an Indian and she was expecting. Despite the large notice of "DO NOT ASK THE SEX OF YOUR CHILD" i asked the Indian Doctor what the scan showed. Without hesitation he said "It's a boy!". I did not stay in The Grand Sartaj as more comfortable and cleaner larger rooms were available at other hotels I always ask my Travel Consultant about accommodation went I go overseas and visit countries, particularly India....     This hotel is very old with good basic amenities. Its 2 minute walking distance from Green park metro station. Availability is not the issue. food is good, homely. Restaurant ambience is very nice..Must need to improve basic structure like bathroom, AC etc... More

    It's a hotel with everything wrong except location Pick any hotel in south Delhi and I literally mean any hotel including b&b types they are better than this Everything is shabby unlike the star status of hotel Everything in hotel dates back to 1960 and I don't mean vintage Staff is worst part of package No service no ethics no hospitality Manager Kk Chawla?? Is t is the leader of pack who heed no value to customer reaction and encourage hotel staff to behave in similar manner ? Some rebellion again hotel owner or what?   3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
