    Worst Place for Banquets!!!!

    Had one of the worst experiences trying to have my Engagement ceremony in this hotel. Myself working overseas had asked my parents to check and book the banquet hall with Grand Residence considering the few positive reviews online. We did book the hall for April 12, 2017 and few days before the ceremony, their staff Mr.Rajesh (chef) called us saying the promised space cannot be given to us as the that place is need for the Managing Director of that hotel for some function. Due to this confusion, we looked for better options and got a banquet hall booked with another better hotel (chennai le palace) and asked the Grand Residence folks to cancel our booking and refund our advance money of 10k. After which, they decided to give the banquet hall promised to us but it was too late by then. Finally when we requested for the advance money to be refunded, they were not helpful at all. After tons of phone calls and regular visits, they decided to return only half the amount (5k) saying it was our fault to cancel the booking. Basically this proves very bad customer service as their staff never let us talk or deal with management directly. Not fit to called as a three star hotel!!! Lol I wonder even if they would read this review and try to change their approach towards customers and try to maintain the standard that a so called 3 star hotel should have! ... More

    Grand Residency - Bliss Bar - Average experience!

    Visited the bar - Bliss in the hotel. Service seemed sleepy and average, which made it seem like a local bar than a lounge bar, possibly because it was a saturday afternoon. Food quality was also only average, with beef fry have more of everything other than beef! Fish fingers were decent. Good number of drink options on the menu, however a number of the cocktail options were not available. A decent option in the thereabouts. Hopefully some competition should come by, which should help pick up the standards.... More

  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
