The place is a mid range holiday club where you will find everything you wanted there in a normal hotel. The food was very delious, tastes like home food. Service was quick. There is place to play games like table tennis.
Really relaxing stay and superb food

Brief about Girivihar- If you are tired of your daily schedule and need a break then you must visit to Girivihar holiday club where you can relax, spend time with your friends and family and have a great gujarati food. Don’t expect a resort kind of amenities as they are famous/ known for the holiday destination where you will find yourself, away from the noice, pollution, and population. You can expect great service, super clean hotel rooms/environment, very helpful staff, garden where you can play outdoor or indoor games. The best part of them is that the hotel is still taken care of the owner and not given to anyone to run it. So the owners have control on each movements of the club. I really enjoyed my stay with great food and very positive atmosphere. Strongly recommend Girivihar holiday club.
Location- Lonavala is flooded with commercial properties starting from khandala till Karla. This hotel is located just a 3-4 mins always from old Mumbai Pune highway in Tungarli Village, right in the middle of Lonavala.(9/10)
Theme/Concept- Simple yet refreshing, clean, hotel with delicacy of their own from years. Hotel can be explained as a perfect staying place who wants to relax from busy life and eat some nice gujrati Thali/meal (they have other food too than Gujrati). (9/10)
Reception- Reception is in the front of the gate itself. They got two gates one where you can drop off and can park your vehicle in other gate which is adjacent. You will be mainly welcomed by one of the owners of the hotel who takes care of the hotel. With aprox 11 rooms, you can get a room in weekdays but always book before or enquire before if you going on the weekend. They have kept few of the homemade pickles for selling in reception if you are a pickle lover.(8/10)
Room- Simple yet really neat and clean. I was highly impressed with the cleaning they have kept in entire hotel. My room had a double bed (Good size), TV( Flat screen), Ac, few tables and chairs. Best part was room was not occupied with lot of unwanted stuff. Washrooms were nice and clean. It's always a best part to have a small balcony to your room (though you hardly spent time in it).
Balcony had a front view of garden and main road. Starting from bed linen to floors everything was spotless.(9/10)
Outdoor Amenities- Being a holiday club they have kept it basic and gives you the experience of old holiday homes we use to go. Red colour bricks was the reminder of old days. They got table tennis, carrom, few board games like chess, ludo etc to keep you busy and cherrish our childhood.
I would really like to mention about their garden. Garden was surrounded with lots of trees and in middle they had hammock where you can relax in the fresh cold air. It was really refreshing to be honest.(10/10)
Dinning- The hotel got restaurant which is their highlight I must say. The restaurant is big and got enough sitting options. Their Gujarati thali is really famous since years. Only 3 restaurants in lonavala serves pure veg Thali and Girivihar is one of them. The room package is sorted with a complimentary breakfast so don't have to worry about. A la carte menu of them got few north Indian and gujrati food preparations but you all must try Gujarati cuisine here. We had baingal bharta for dinner with jwari and bajari bhajri which was really impressive and flavoursome. (10/10)
Breakfast- for breakfast we had aloo bhaji n poori, upma, fruit cuts, bread butter and tea or coffee. Garama garam poories in morning won my heart.
Lunch Thali- A I mentioned Gujrati thali is really famou, I opted for it. My Thali had khatta Dhokla, aloo rassa, bhendi sabji, gujrati Daal, chapatti (with lots of ghee), chaas, papad, jodhpuri picked, Gujarati pickle, green chutney and last but not the least home-made gulab jamun. Thank looked really huge and tasted even awesome. Each preparation was different from one other. Little sweetish which can be understood as its Gujarati preparation. Dhokla was highlight so does the Daal and aloo rassa. I really enjoyed the thali which was light on stomach as no not used any garam masala or soda in it.
For dinner we opted to eat light so had Biagan Bharta and aloo mutter gravy along with bhakri’s made of jwari and bajri respectively. I am not a brinjal fan but this brinjal(Baigan) bhartra I really enjoyed to be honest.

During our trip to Lonavala, we stayed at the Girivihar Holiday Club. This holiday club makes for an amazing weekend getaway. There is an in house restaurant as well and the rooms are well equipped with all sorts of facilities. Also, the location is simply perfect. There are indoor games for children and lush greenery all around. We had a great stay here and loved the food. The hospitality if the hotel staff is appreciable. There are diverse options to select from in terms of food. Our trip to Lonavala was made perfect with a pleasant stay at Girivihar Holiday Club.

Stayed in Deluxe Room at Girivihar Holiday Club. The room was tastefully done and bed was comfortable. The attached bathroom had basic toiletries and was clean. In-room service is also available - the service is quick and efficient. We had booked our sightseeing tour via Girivihar only. The cost was nominal, our taxi was comfortable, and our driver was helpful. If you are not sure of which tourist taxi service to use, then resort cabs are a better option. The property is well-kept and the staff is hospitable. Our experience was nice.

We went for a short family trip to Lonavala and stayed at the Girivihar Holiday Club. We had opted for a super Deluxe room. The room was airy and spacious. There was a mini fridge in the room and bathroom had basic toiletries. The room also had a sofa cum bed which was comfortable and my daughter could sleep comfortably. The resort also offer in-room dining facility which was perfect for us.The food was tasty and was pure vegetarian. Even my husband, who is a fussy eater, enjoyed the food. The property is nice and we had an excellent stay.
