I had visited this place in march last year and had booked ac room fearing the march heat but to my surprise it was very breeze due lush plantation around and intact we had to switch off the fan .place is managed by single family staying across the street where they have hotel dining area.place is very popular for Gujarati unlimited thali on weekends.rooms are very spacious and bright with basic amenities.room service is available the only downside is place is not very easily accessible and worth only when you have your own vehicle.baby cribs are available on request.would like to thank Mr mrinal for allowing late checkout.
Decent place but could be better

My partner and I stayed in an A/C room (non-deluxe) for one day. I will list the positive and negative points of my stay.
Positive: The owners were polite and friendly. They suggested places we should visit and what mode of transportation to use. The room was spacious. Finding the place on Google Maps was easy. The food was delicious.
Negative: There was a lack of door-mats and hand towels in the room which are essential during the monsoon. I was also annoyed by the staff calling up my room after we had been served dinner (room-service) to enquire whether we had finished our meal (so that they could take our plates). I also found the pillows too hard to rest my head on, and hence didn't sleep well.
Suggestion: I think hangers in the cupboard would benefit the guests. I understand that having facilities for tea and coffee (and a hot water kettle) aren't expected when one is paying 3000 rupees for a room in Lonavala but it would be nice to have them. Overall, a pleasant stay but could be better.

U can join up with ur family kids and friends its amazing... which includes kids zone..snooker.. party hals and many more.. plan for Lonavala just stay at #girivihardiningclub_bestplaytostay
Dirty blankets and unprofessional attitude- though he committed to refund later denied.

Stayed here for approx 2 hours (that ended before check in time) with Family in July 2015.
The furnishing of the room, hotel walls, tiles etc are average and is low budget hotel. Surely, it way too much overpriced (Rs 4144 on goibibo in jul 2015), even if it was hygienic.
The blankets / replacement provided were was too much filthy and was intolerable.(details below).
Talked to onwer- He on first glace seemed to be very pleasant and understanding. He sound logical and agreed to let us check out and said he would process the refund- as it is raised through goibibo.
When Goibibo talked to him- he simply refused stating that there were no issues for cleanliness at all and blankets were replaced to my satisfaction. And that refund is ruled out- said on the same day to goibibo.
When The issue was escalated much, he made an excuse that it was not him, but his manager making excuses.
He agreed over call to make refund of 1000 through NEFT and again U turn was taken. On followup he said, he won make NEFT, but would be through goibibo.
Now twist / game here is: The hotel is not worth 1500-1700 bucks. Owner prices it on Goibibo at approx 4100. The same hotel after discount is offered at approx 2000. (still its costly considering the furnishing)
Gobibo policy says- in case of cancellation the cancellation charges would be computed on full price. ha ha....
Now just imagine though 50% of refund is being made, cancellation charge would be 4144/2= 2075. Just imagine what you will get as refund.
Onwer/ Manager again played it very well. I gave it up lastly as I didnt have time drag this on. But one can get the idea what this place is and how professional is management.
Details of my brief stay (that ended before check in time) as below:
The time I checked out was 12:30 PM (12 is standard check in time for the hotel).
The hotel changed blanket thrice- but all the times, it was more filthy and unhygienic than the previous one. shameful that even after 3 times hotel failed to provide a bare minimum clean blanket- leave alone the quality.(this was the same quality you can get in big bazaar for 200-300 bucks)
The first blanket provided to us has a lot of long human hairs- shown to the housekeeping staff
The replacement had very strong perspiration and the perfume odour- may be from the previous guest who used it
The second replacement has some food particles (dal/ pulses) stick to its surfaces.
The last replacement (when I gave up finally) has some smell of human faeces.
It was my threshold to give up.
I still went to the manager and owner (still thinking that the hotel in in range of 4000, must be providing something decent)
when I asked multiple question like:
Do you provide same cheap quality blankets to all customers? No one complained till date?
Don’t you clean these? No one came to you for cleaning?
DO you provide TWO SINGLE and thin Blankets even to families? None of the families complained to you?
And every time the manager/onwer answered a "NO" with pride and smirk.
He failed to sense the pain and desperation of a customer that who was forced to check out start of the checkin (12:30 PM) and had to shell money to take another hotel.
Which was really a failure for Girivihar.

A very good hotel with very Co operative staff.. the restaurant serves very delicious and homely food.. rooms are very clean and tidy.. everything is just very amazing.. will definitely come again for a stay..
