    My wife and I decided to take a city break in India over the festive season. This was our first visit to India, so after doing some research into Chennai we decided to book this hotel for 6 nights while exploring the city and nearby areas. After quite a stressful experience at the airport, our check-in at reception was smooth and faultless. Our room was spacious and the bathroom facilities very good. The room was at the rear of the hotel and free from any outside noise. We did have a noisy night one evening due to the dining room below us undergoing a deep clean, however when my wife complained, the customer service manager was very attentive and apologised, as well as offering us a temporary room to sleep in for that evening. We declined and understood this was a “one-off event”. We tried all 3 restaraunts and both bars during our stay. The waterfront had a great breakfast menu, and catered for even the less adventurous tastes of westerners. Tamak also had an extensive menu, with fantastic welcoming staff who were happy to explain the meals. Skyloft, the roof top bar and restaurant was the jewel in the crown with great views and a very romantic atmosphere. All the staff were amazing and we were given a friendly welcome everywhere. We also visited the vapor lounge bar and truffles the tea and cake bar in the lobby. The pool area although quite small was adequate and sometimes the service was a bit slow for drinks etc. However this is just a small grumble during our overall stay. The hotel arranged a car for us to return to the airport. We really did not want to leave at the end of our stay, and the amazing staff are really the hotels main asset.... More

    Honestly, in regards to our stay at Feathers we honestly did not enjoy the stay at all. Firstly we found the room rates very high compared to other better 5 star hotel options available around. The rooms allotted are awfully far from everywhere...also the hotel is located way out of the city....the rooms have cockroaches and not cleaned.... Bed sheet i slept on first night had blood stains...this was disgusting....staff at the breakfast area really dont know what they are doing..... And not at all cooperative.... Anything we asked for took forever inspite of no other guest where there.... And the food that was served like paratha we awfully cold.... Seems like they are doing us a favor...we were on a very hectic work schedule because of which 3 days we could not have breakfast for the first two days i asked the manager to pack some fruits and send us and he did.... Today i asked Mr saroj at waterside to send some fruits he mentioned of extra charges.... Another instance i wanted to smoke near the waterside restaurant the staff showed me the place to smoke... Within 2 min another staff came and forced me not to smoke there saying its not allowed... This clearly shows the lack of coordination amongst the staff and the hotel... This is not exceptable at a 5 star hotel with such rates where you should not be calling it a 5 star...we usually do not cry or wimp about such things but this time we were really really harrowed and didnt enjoy our stay at all inspite of spending 36000 rs. The service and the stay at the hotel was genuinely terrible and would not recommend anyone.... More

Booking Policies
  1. The standard check-in time is 02 PM and the standard check-out time is 12 PM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
