A wonderful place ...

I have spent a wonderful week at Ropico Resort in June 2019.
Ron, the manager and his lovely family are very friendly and helpful.
Ron can arrange different snorkeltrips or hikes into the Island. There is also a great divecenter just a boatride away.
And dont miss to visit the little village where you ab meet one of the great carvers from Marovo Lagoon.
One week was definately to short! So I am sure to come again.
Lovely family owned and run resort in great location

Really enjoyed our stay at Ropiko - lovely family, very welcoming; great local food and very comfortable accommodation. They also put on a really interesting cultural demo for us - traditional basket making, cooking, etc etc - very informative. Note that island is Seventh Day Adventist so no alcohol available but they are cool for you to BYO wine etc.
The perfect getaway

A beautiful spot indeed. Comfortable and we'll equipped bungalows with installed hot water system, good range of available activities, child friendly settings, friendly and reliable staffs, cool breeze are a few things that make Ropiko unique. Some suggestions - improve power supply to accommodate hot water system, staffs prepared to work 7 days, sell alcohol, improve access to wi-fi. Will be a boost to the business if ghatokae airstrip is reopened so tourists can have the option of quick arrival or enjoy lagoon boat ride to seghe. Otherwise, Ropiko classic na!
Amazing Ropiko Beach Resort

I spent a weekend at the Ropiko Beach Resort on a travel photography assignment for the resort.... That classy resort is not just for family vacation. There are many outdoor activities to do there; bird watching, fishing, village tours, photographing, visit to a nearby community school, and an adventure into a cave with lots of bats and shrimps in it. It's about 300 meters to walk into that cave.
One cool thing about that resort is the access to wifi. Weh posted alot of photos into Face Book from there. Great experience there with another fellow photographer and writer, Julian!

Beautiful place, beautiful people. Brand new, pristine accommodation in a serene setting. The resort doesn't have the same range of activities as nearby wilderness and uepi resorts, but staff are more than happy to transport you to other resorts and locations for scuba diving, spear fishing, snorkeling etc. No request was too much trouble. We visited other resorts and the accommodation at Ropiko was honestly much better - newer and cleaner, and significantly cheaper. Staff made bonfires for us on the beach each night at our request, and the resort even had working free wifi. Avoid leaving/arriving on Saturday as the owners are SDA and won't do boat transfers on Saturday. They will arrange another boat to come from Seghe, but this is at significant extra cost. Overall, a beautiful, secluded place.
