Great little haven

Amazing how quickly the area has recovered. A few bumpy roads but hey it's India. A peaceful and beautiful resort away from the Hurley burley. The staff are amazingly helpful and kind. The manager Karthik went the extra mile and went to the extent of going to the next town to get fresh A grade cardamom. The buffets are different every night and extremely tasty. Nature walks were brilliant. Surrounding country is absolutely beautiful.

Spacious cottage, adorable staff and delicious food. Don’t miss the guided walk with the locals to discover the authentic little village nearby and fresh spices along the way. Although Kerala terribly suffered from the floods in 2018 but since, they have recovered and you won’t notice anything. If you are looking for a lovely quiet authentic retreat, this is the place to be!
Simple, quiet place to stay

The accommodation is generous with lovely views. The staff could not do more for us - they looked after us very well - but it is a simple place in a fairly remote area- perfect to get away for a few days and enjoy some lovely walks in peace and quiet (apart from the noises of the bird life in particular. We really enjoyed our break and the generous hospitaility. The local village is basic but we had some great Ayurverdic treatments!

This is just a wonderful slice of peace and calm in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Munnar tea country. Add the name implies, everything he is done with conservation in mind. No plastic bottles and frills are at a minimum. This does not however detract in anyway from a comfortable and enjoyable stay. From your arrival, manager Karthik goes out of his way to see top your every need. The hospitality is unsurpassed, the cabins and cottages are clean comfortable and wonderfully situated in the forest. The kitchen affords dining of a high caliber, you will however need to provide any alcohol yourself. The best part is the peace and quite as you sleep. Mornings are magical as you shop tea on your porch while all manner of the most beautiful birds come to visit and enchant. All in all Ecotones is a wonderful recipe after hot days trekking the tea country of beautiful Kerala. My thanks to all the staff, who were to a man warm, kind, and so welcoming, all under the direction of Karthik. Thanks to you all for fantastic memories.

We stayed just one night, sadly. We arrived after a long cycle ride to be met by friendly and welcoming staff to this haven of a boutique hotel set in the lush hilltops just outside Munnar. The room was very comfortable and tastefully decorated, with gorgeous views from our outside seating area. Nice restaurant served delicious food, including options for the vegetarians. A very relaxed stay.
