We were in eagle mountain last month for 02 nights and we did enjoy our stay a lots there. It was decent, peaceful, clean, & nature view resort. The location of hotel is wonderful, looks like covered with mountains and forest. The property is small haveing nine rooms only but the services and the rooms are marvelous as well as spacious. we were in room no. 201 and that was awesome. we wanted to spend more night in eagle just because of the hotel beauty however we had to move on because of our pre planned Kerala trip. I recommend the eagle mountains from every point of view and definitely will stay again there whenever come munnar.
Great view well off the beaten track

We spent three nights at Eagle Mountain and really enjoyed our stay.
- The view from the balcony is fantastic. It's a great place to relax and read while listening to the birds and general noise of the forest
- The service form the staff was excellent. Dinner can be ordered and eaten in the room (or on the balcony) for no extra charge, which is a lovely touch. We enjoyed the food too for both dinner and breakfast
- The hotel is reached by a ~30 min drive down a poorly surfaced single track road. While this is lovely the first time as you travel through the tea plantations and are treated to amazing views, it does limit what you can do as once you are back, that's you back for the day. On the other hand, it's the reason why it is so isolated and peaceful, so it's a bit of a trade off.
- While not bad, the cleanliness could be better - it didn't affect our stay though
Overall, this is a great choice for a mid-range hotel which allows you to totally relax.

trekking on a vehicle really a first time experience till we reach the property. time relaxed us in such a way that we forget to take some food. property is completely private occupied the peak of the mountain making beautiful small valley waterfalls , full of stars in the early hours waking up with full of strength. serving of food exclusively for us is unforgettable. staff are very courteous. within no radius the property is full of tea plantations.forget not to have a own vehicle.
Best thing is the view

The website advertises this as a luxury hotel, which in my view it is not. The view from the room is spectacular and the bed is incredibly comfortable. However, the bathroom is very basic and seems to get little air, meaning the whole room smelt damp and musty. Whilst being in the middle of nowhere does afford a good view, this does not outweigh the cons such as regular power cuts, poor WiFi, intermittent hot water and in the main being limited to eating at the hotel. Whilst certainly edible, by India’s standards the food was bland, albeit it was relatively reasonably priced. The staff were friendly albeit the service at food times was often slow (even though we were the only guests in the dining room). Be aware that the hotel is quite difficult to get to and the road is terrible. We had a driver but if you do not, please bear this in mind. As an aside, we were able to pay by card (I note several people refer to this not being possible), although I suspect the bad weather conditions may mean this option is not always available.

Eagle Mountain is one of the most beautiful accommodations that Munnar could offer you. You will be welcomed by admirably dedicated front officer Pradeep who will sweeten your stay :) The accommodation is an authentic one, very neat and clean with the most delicious Indian cuisine! The breakfast is the best with dosas and its chai.
However, as a wise traveller, you would want to pack extra supplies because the shops are about 15 KMs away. Also, do not freak out if you find the way uphill quite dodgy at night.
Enjoy the tea estates and the Munnar experience :)
