Chill out at the Dona
on Dec 20, 2017
We returned from the Dona 10 days ago enjoyed it so much going back 19 Feb. It was very relaxing staff made us feel so welcome. Nothing too much trouble anything you wanted they sorted it. Great laundry service better than being at home! Anita n the girls always had a welcoming smile. Savio and his boys 1st class. Rooms kept clean and bedding towels changed regularly. Food that good we hardly ate out lots of selection curries proper curries. Even dogs were welcoming. Lot of people returned year after year which speaks volumes. If you want a chill out holiday this is the place. Roll on 19 Feb!!!!
No room at the Inn!!!

Regardless of numerous holidays at Dona over 18 years, I arrived for a 4 week stay to be told the hotel was full. Accommodation was provided for me in a block 300yards away. I was the only occupant for most of the 2 weeks I tolerated the isolation. The owners knew that I was widowed 3years ago and would be alone. I looked forward to spending Christmas with people I knew and who, I thought, cared about me. Not the case.
Clearly loyalty counts for nothing at this establishment. I am angry, hugely dissapointed and saddened by my treatment
Great value for money!

I visited the hotel in the month of November. Had a great experience in terms of the facilities provided at the price I paid. The hotel is clean, which includes the rooms and the swimming pool. The staff is very friendly and cooperative. The place has a very friendly vibe and provides a home like atmosphere. On days when you don't feel like heading out, relaxing in the hotel is possible. The complimentary breakfast is basic, but one cannot expect a luxurious feast at the price they charge. The area is peaceful and safe. Head to this hotel only if you are interested in having a peaceful and relaxed holiday. The zalor beach is at a distance of just 1.5 km. The cavelossim beach and the varca beach are also within a distance of 5 km. A rented vehicle is essential for easy mobility, though. Taking a bus is a bit of a nuisance, and cabs are relatively expensive.
Goa Asvam - BENS INN
on Mar 30, 2017
From Dabolim airport went to Vasco da gama by bus(25mins) and then Kadamba bus to Mapusa (30mins) and from Mapusa took bus for Arambol or Keri and get down(45mins) at Madlamaz village (Mandrem) then have to walk up to 2 km approx in Mandrem- Asvem- Morjim road.
Actually walking may be avoided if it is possible to catch the busses which goes via Ashvem to Mandrem or Keri.
There, checked in BENS INN. Its very very nice experience. I have been going to Goa since 12 years, this place, but this place, first. and is really very calm and quiet with everything from bike hiring to restaurants beach is very near.
Only problems are local Buses are very limited, only 3 to 4 services. Here(Asvem) one end Mandram (highway) and other end Mandram (Madlamaz) you get plenty of busses for going anywhere.I actually visit GOA by local buses and i truly enjoy a lot.
Actually this hotel and place both for travellers who wants quieter and best value. Beach is very near visible from hotel. Restaurants are also there but I have to walk at least 2 km to reach Madlamaz Market(Mandrem) for small shoppings or Desi Tea or desi breakfast etc. If driving comfortable hire two wheeler or car best. But I suggest its the best lace.
Don't be put off

This is in a rural location , if you like walking 1mile to the beach then great. , don't be put off when you arrive, the idea I'd staying here after the morning was a no go. But spen a day out and about came back to really welcoming staff, while the rooms are basic it's very clean. Lots of British people return year after year I can sort of understand why,
