    We had booked 2 rooms early September 2018 to welcome some family members from the USA. We booked in early to check the room status/conditions. The visitors arrived late at night. The initial 2 rooms they gave us were VERY poor - the A/C was not functional in the 1st room and the toilet flush was NOT working in the 2nd room. The toilet was also very slippery and we had a difficult time to get out of it !!! They were VERY dirty ! After we complained, we were given 2 new rooms which were satisfactory. But they were not worth the price we paid for them. We have stayed in much better hotels in Chennai, for the same or lesser price !!! The Front Office Manager was however helpful in this aspect and we appreciate his help very much. The Restaurant was not functional too, except for the breakfast time. Food ordered during lunch and dinner time appeared to be provided from outside. However the silver lining was, the 2 gentleman running the Restaurant were also VERY helpful and helped us with our food orders. We thank them too. We were misled by their good ratings in the net.     Hotel Emarald is nearer to Chennai Central Railway station on Poonamalee High Road. Best stay for people on Business travel. Complimentary Breakfast limited to south Indian breakfast menu- Poori Bhaji, Idly, Vada, Dosai, Idiyapam upma, Bread toast, omlet, cornflakes, Aloo/ Gobi Paratha. Room is good with affordable tarrifs. Restaurant ambience is not that much good. Window panes of hotel rooms facing road is dusty. Laundry is located exactly opposite to staircase which is not quite appealing. Food is okay. Rooms are maintained good. Overall I give 3 stars ... More

    Worst hotel to stay in Chennai

    Guys dont believe on website atoll. Hotel is totally different from one shown on website. Google gave this hotel 1 star and sure google is right about it. Rooms are small and washrooms are worst. I recommend every hotel not to book this hotel . My room was smelling bad so I requested its Reception people to change room. After 2 hours and 6 calls , room service person came to our room and told us rudely that they cannot change room as all rooms are same. After lots of request we got in touch with GM Mr. Elango. In starting he listened to our problem and after listening said same thing. On decision of checking out from hotel he started shouting on us and said he dont care about guest. make it sure we pay before check out. I request all travellers not to check in this hotel ever....     Was here for a day booked room via redbus app with good offer , the room was well furnished with minimal issues though they are renovating the entire building.     Budget stay.

    Good budget stay near to Chennai central station. Please do not expect much. The check inn was smooth. The room Was Deluxe room. Very small room . No place to move around. No mini bar. So over all a budget stay. Will definitely try some other place if given a choice with same price, though no specific issues. The room had disturbance as the local train track was just behind and to be fair please note during our stay period the renovation work was going on.... More

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.

  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
