    Great location but dirty and bad service

    We picked this hotel because of the reviews but they are all wrong. Extensive review: The only pro is the location, this is perfect. And also the room on the top has an amazing view of the river. But that's it. Reception person does barely speak and understand English. He sleeps in reception area which is annoying when we go and have breakfast at 8 he is still sleeping there. First room (top floor) dirty bathroom and bed sheets. Dirt (sand, hairs, dead bugs) on the bed as well. AC not working, fan had 20 cm of dust on it. Super gross! Requested a new room with working AC. Got one the next evening. Again bed super dirty with hairs and seemed like someone just ate a bunch of cookies on it. Blanket also very dirty. Got a new one upon request. We had a booking from booking.com. Receptionist did not understand our booking. We had a booking with breakfast but they don't offer. He did not understand we did not want to pay the breakfast fee. Took us 15 min to discuss. We had to pay the owner, so we had to wait for him to show up which is ridiculous. Turned out he canceled the booking on booking.com to avoid fees. But when we read our cancellation policy, it is noted as a no show, which means we needed to pay 50% of the booking costs! He told us not to tell booking.com but we did to avoid extra costs which would be his fault. Also both our bills did not match up and he wanted us to pay more then listed. We had to discuss for 30 min and luckily ended up paying the lesser amount. The guest house just needs to clean up and buy new sheets. The guest house would be 90% better because it has nice decoration and a great location. Also stop using booking.com service if they do not want to pay any fees! It feels like a rip off.... More

    The place is really good and the guy at the reception is very helpful. The location is great because is central and near to the main spots of the city. Really reccomended if you are travelling alone with family or friends... More

    Firs time in Udaipur "OMG" l like this Hotel so muck cause good service and so good view rooftop.can walk to City Palace not far and not far to market. lovely people love lake view I will be back again... More

    I enjoyed my stay here. In fact, I extended my stay by a week and recommended this place to my friend. The location of the place is perfect for a short or long stay. Most of the major sights (City Palace, Jagdish temple, the museum and night cultural show, and the lake) are less than a 5-minute walk away. There is no longer a restaurant, but food places are just outside the door. What I enjoyed most was the rooftop. I went to visit a couple of other hotels and rooftop restaurants and found Devi's to be the best. The rooftop has a lovely view of the lake and the town, day and night. The rooftop has lounge seating, so it is perfect for just relaxing and watching the activity on the lake. The staff of two are warm and interested in making guests feel at home.The room was clean, had nice furniture, and the shower was hot. There is wifi in the lobby, rooms, and on the rooftop. The wifi in the lobby is strong, but the wifi in the room and the rooftop is not as fast and goes out sometimes. All in all, I would (and have) recommend this place. On other booking websites, the name of this place is listed as " OYO Home 10102 Heritage Near Gangaur Ghat," however, the people who live there only know it by Devi Vilas.... More

    I booked this hotel through booking.com where it was advertised as Oyo home 10102. This info made it impossible to find and no one seemed to know it as that. Once we were able to locate the guesthouse we had a decent sized room which was decorated nicely and had a large bed. The bathroom was on the small side and the hot water was a bit temperamental. The roof top has a great view of lake Pichola and the location is good for seeing the sites in Udaipur. Right next door is a Haveli with a museum that also has a nightly cultural show from 7pm-8pm that is worth watching. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops in the area and the City Palace is just 5 mins walk. The staff member working there did not speak fantastic English but he tried really hard and was pleasant. WiFi could have been better. I thought it was good value for money if staying in Udaipur for a few days if you are on a budget. ... More

  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
