Great hotel at Tiger hills.

Hotel is good, pretty decent with all necessary amenities. One good thing about Delightz Inn which i really liked is its location, up on tiger hill, almost 4.8 Km above the ground level. The location helps you to feel the chill even in hot summers. You get a nice hall attached with a living room and pretty decent arrangements. The breakfast served was nice but idli was a repeat offender (:D), people from other parts of India may not like having idlis everyday. I spent 4-5 days in the hotel and their arrangements kept me blissed, you just have to tell them that you want to have a cab at this time and they will never forget that. One more thing to appreciate is they have a nice travel planner which helps to go in and around ooty. One recommendation though, while booking the hotel online, you should include taxes. I was rather surprised when I got to know that I have to pay the taxes during checkout, i should be included in the overall price. Overall nice stay.
Best service....for a budget hotel

There are 2 USP for this place. Rooms and the service, rooms are huge in fact there are 2 rooms in each accommodation so prefect for a big family. Services is just great, none of the staff is trained on hospitality but they all are very courteous honest and always helpful. They all show their care all the time. Imagine i was asked 2/3 times if everything is fine. You don't get it in 5 star hotels as well. There were some issues like tap broken in my washroom, long wait for order that came cold, house fly in coconut chutney....but then anything done with a smile can be forgotten. Food great too... breakfast buffet is not great but room service food is perfect. Value for money

It was with a sense of trepidation that we entered the reception area of delightz inn...after an exhausting drive from coimbatore airport the reception felt very unassuming. But as soon as Ajit greeted us with his beaming smile we felt a sense of belonging. He ushered us into our abode with lovely Victorian style windows & generous amount of space in the bedroom as well as the living area.
The bathroom was no frills but very clean.
The lunch for our famished souls was heavenly...Mr. Long was at hand helping us out with the exhaustive menu & the pepper fry prawns in particular were simply delicious. The best part about this resort is that although it doesn't have a restaurant, the room service by the manager & his support staff is extremely good!
The view of the undulating green slopes from the balcony is truly amazing with a hot cup of tea in your hand...
The buffet breakfast was served in the lawn area under stylish white tents. The breakfast spread was great with an eclectic mix of north & South Indian cuisine.
The drawbacks are:
1. It's isolated ... need a taxi to get to the town area...although it's a blessing to be away from the humdrum of ooty town.
2. No alcohol....
3. No activities inside the resort...although we managed to get a bonfire at a nominal fee.
Overall a lovely or shall I say... delightful experience at this hilltop inn!!

Though it does not look like pictures provided , this is decent option available at affordable price. It is on the top the tiger hill, road to reach the hotel is pathetic. Rooms are spacious, can easily accommodate more than 4 people. Courtesy of the staff is very much appreciated. They do not have restaurant but they have a in house kitchen. Food taste is good. Over all you will like staying here.
