    This hotel is near to rose garden. i have visited this hotel with my family and friends. Rooms are not good at all and its stinky. Wash rooms are not maintained properly. We have to pay special attention to lock the rooms. food in the hotel is not good and we need to go out to eat good food.... More

    Terrible place, Worst Room service and still overpriced

    We had booked the hotel tickets online. When we checked in, we realized that the pics shown for the room were completely different from what was actually there. It was a dilapidated room, broken bathroom(door not getting closed, so small that u cant even take bath in it, leaking pipes and taps). We were told that it was semi-deluxe room and will get a deluxe room if we pay Rs1500 extra which we did. Got a bit better room but very smelly. No ventilation in the bathrooms. The intercom also wasnt working. Room Service - The intercom wasnt working, so we went to the in-house restaurant to order tea. After waiting for an hour, we went again to remind, but still no tea. Went again after 20 mins - stood there and then after 20 mins - we could finally get the tea. There was no hot water in the room, we were told that you are late - all the hot water was used up and will have to wait for another hour to get it. While there was hot water in other rooms. Restaurant - Please be careful before u use any furniture. While we were in the restaurant a female fell down while sitting on the chair as it was broken. In summary, if you are thinking of booking this hotel based on the prices and pics - you are getting fooled. We ended up paying much more and still didnt get what was shown. P.S. Forgot to mention the swarm of house-flies there... More

    HAD TO LEAVE AS SOON AS I ARRIVED

    We entered the hotel and first impressions were it looking rather positive, we were given our room and even as we walked up the stairs it turned down hill. The hotel is very warn down and has no upkeep to eat. We then entered our room which we were made aware had air conditioning on booking.com which it didn’t. I heard downstairs to make them awRe in hope we could change our room. On my journey down, the stairs were wet and I slipped down them grazing my arm, safe to say it hurt. Not a single person asked if I was okay or helped. I made them aware of the water and all the did to solve the issue was put a rug over it and the roof was still leaking. So the lack of health and safety and care put me off. We then asked to change our rooms as we thought we were paying for air conditioning. They showed us another room which again didn’t have air conditioning. Frustrations then running high we asked for out money back so we could move to another hotel that suited our needs.... More

    This was the residency when I am not sure about where to stay in Ooty... Though we were taken there by a Auto Rickshaw person(untime and no idea about stay), we are satisfied about this Residency... It is much worth the cost...... More

    This is the worst hotel i have visited ever in my life time. They charged for the taxi which we didnt book. No room service. We booked the diamond class room in the hotel but then also no breakfast were provided. The receptionist was dumb and a big idiot. He even dont have manner how to deal with the tourist.... More

Overview

The De Santhosh Residency is one of the best hotels located in the striking hiil-station city of Ooty. The hotel is a stopover for guests that come to the place to commune with nature and for the fantastic attractions of the rose and the botanical gardens. Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
