    Very courteous staff, good hotel, good location

    The hotel De Grand Riviera is located at a great location, and the markets are nearby. The front desk staff is very courteous and helpful. We were first given a room overlooking the main entrance, however, upon request, gave us an upgraded room facing the main pool area. The rooms are quite good, the attached balcony makes it feel alive and one can just laze around the balcony area or the sofa cum bed provided inside the room. The housekeeping, maintenance and room service staff are good and doing their job pretty well. PROs- 1.) Good location, the market and shops are nearby, and not very far from the Calengute beach either. 2.) Very courteous front desk, always ready to help. 3.) Good pool and restaurant service at the pool too. 4.) The food (room service/dining) is quite good and they have a wide variety of items for the same. CONs- 1.) The buffet breakfast could improve by providing some choice for continental items too.... More

    Average hostel with very bad sevice

    We stayed there for 2 nights during our recent trip to Goa. I was kind of unsure to book this hotel after reading all the negative reviews and those reviews turned out to true. This hotel is not maintained properly as most of bathroom fittings are broken, even the sofa bed in our room was broken too. Very bad or almost no house keeping. They didn't change the bedsheets and towels for all my 3days of stay. Coffee and tea maker was not in the room and took almost 2 days to reach in my room after multiple follow up by us that to on the morning when we were about to check out. Pillows were very thin and not at all comfortable. Only good thing about the hotel is the pool. Please book this hotel if you are not having much expectations and not getting a better one in your budget otherwise stay away from this hostel.... More

    Worthless stay

    This is a 1 star hotel. Smells like dry vomit in the halls ways. Sheets are stained and amenities promised are not avalable like the pool. Their is gym is old and filthy. The breakfast was unhygenic and staff were busy playing on their phones. Better to book another hotel. Also hotel is far from the main beach and market. Do not be fooled by the price. It's not worth the trouble.... More

    Don’t waste your money here

    The hotel has listed very appealing pictures on the internet, however during my visit it was totally opposite in reality. At first, the big swimming pool is not maintained at all. The water was literally yellowish and the white curtain pool deck was missing. Moving on to the rooms, the bathroom seat was broken, one bathroom bulb was not lit/missing and the toliet was not clean properly. Seriously, looking like a public toliet. Moreover, there were many stains in the wall of the room. I complained about the above at the reception and ask them to change the room as unfortunately I booked and paid in advance through yatra with no refund policy. The receptionist guy was rude and told us that we should be happy that we are atleast getting the room in the long weekend. Advising all to not go for this hotel until they start maintaining the property and respecting their guests.... More

    Good hotel with No proper management

    I stayed here n found the hotel good but it seems all the department is maintained by separate owner means front office is taking care by some local people n restaurant is given on lease n room service is worst,, start with check in no proper front office is thr some local people on desk maintaining the register n check in process although the check in is fast the room is good . Than comes to swimming pool the pool is great but not maintained properly,,, guest is eating in pool n the wastage is going in pool so cleaning needs much improvement at pool side. Now comes restaurant part the staff is so less here 2-3 boys taking care of all room service n restaurant guest so the service is going to be so late.... More

De Grand Riviera is roughly located at a distance of 9 km from Mapusa Bus Stand and 3 km from Candolim Beach. As a value added service, guests can avail of wireless internet access, during their stay. This 4-storied property in Goa has a total of 54 well-maintained rooms. The rooms are equipped with amenities such as sofa bed, desk, mini-bar, lamps, wake-up call service and attached bathroom with basic toiletries and hot and cold water supply.

Hotel Check-in Time is 12 PM, Check-out Time is 10 AM.

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
