Worst Resort ever visited in my life
on Dec 3, 2017
We planned our visit to Dariya Kinara Resort which is located near Uttan, Bhayendar by a lonely road which leads to the property. What welcomed us was a Live Karaoke by a really good singer who set our mood for partying through the night. We were almost sure that we had come to the right place to relax, when the disappointments started... I will put my experiences without any bias here.
After being seated 3-4 people from the property approached us and asked us to pay 'Sitting Charges' of ₹200/- per person as we carried our own drinks. We paid.
We ordered for egg omelettes, Thums Up, etc. alongwith other eatables. We were served Pepsi instead and informed that Thums Up was out of stock. We accepted. The omelettes served were full of oil and burnt. We accepted that too. We had similar experiences with other food items as they were either undercooked or burnt, for which we paid a good price.
After having repented for visiting this place, we called for the bill. Their listing on a popular website mentioned that they accept cash and all cards. Due to this we decided to use plastic money instead of cash in support of cashless India mission. We were once again shocked when the property staff informed us that paying through a credit card will attract 2.5% additional charges. Once again we accepted and presented our credit card for payment. The rude person who took our card asked us to pay in cash as the POS machine was out of network. Another shocker, we were asked to take their person in our car, withdraw money from the nearest ATM, which is around 15 minutes drive from the resort, drop him back and settle the bill. We disagreed and asked them to send their person with their own vehicle to ensure that he could return on his own and we are not penalized for their faults. In fact we also offered to pay them using mobile wallets like Paytm, this too was rejected by them.
We had to roam around for around 45 minutes to locate a functional ATM near Bhayendar where we handed over cash to the resort staff post which we returned back. Not to mention, we did not receive a GST invoice.
It turned out to be a nightmare for us as we vowed not to visit this resort, ever again in our lives...
Mini Goa in Mumbai

We went there with friends, reached at around 1 am. Pretty scary if you are going at night. Do not rely solely on google maps. Ask any fellow passengers if you can.
You can bring your own drinks(200/person extra). Food quality is pretty bad. Have to rely on packaged food. Overall chill out place. Would recommend visiting this one once every few months.

I have been to this place many times in the past few years. This is located inside away from the village in an isolated area. First time visitors will have hard time locating this place.
The place is facing Uttan/ gorai beach. That is the only best part of this place. Other than that nothing much to write about.
Liquor is served. Most of the regular brands are available. Service depends on the mood of the waiter. If he is in good mood then no issues, but if he is in a bad mood then u will have to walk all the way to the counter to call him.
They also have live music with a tabla player and one singer mostly singing Kumar sanu songs from 90's era. U don't have to pay additional for this. This is only in the evening though.
Food is okay, not good nor bad. Don't order full tandoori chicken. They will not bring full tandoori but pieces which will be off different chickens..one leg piece will be smaller than the other , some piece will be fresh some stale. The charge is 500/- not worth. Stick to basic Chinese starters like chicken lollipop, 65, Manchurian, chilly.
Stay away from seafood at this place even though this is a fishing village.
Tables are really huge, meant for groups. Also, they have beds like the ones you see in goa shacks. Also, they give room on rent for couples. Don't know the charges.
Note: Ladies avoid this place if ur alone or all girl group as the place is isolated and the road to the hotel and back to main road turns pitch dark after sunset. Though there is a police chowky with one hawaldar once you are on the main road.
The place is good only for drinks with starters and the Seaview. For food, please avoid.
They do accept credit cards.

The place is nice only for drinks if u want to sit facing beach side rest there is not other thing to be seen , tables cloths feels like not clean and dirty since ages , flies all over dirty table cloth , beach dogs laying at feet ,cars roaming ,glass are petty uncleaned ..
one would feel completely cut-off from the hustle bustle of the city....!!!

its such a cool place located in such seclusion... right by the sea its a fantastic experience especially on a high tide and a windy evening...
the place is very laid back and reminds you much of Curlies in Goa.....
one must go there to just chill around have booze and have a good time...
the food and booze are a little overpriced for its standard but understandably so as it is scarcely located.
it feels like goa.
