    Horrible Stay in Cuba

    First of all you need to know that there are two set ups of Cuba on Palolem (one is yellow font and black back ground and another is blue don't with white background). Now the cleverness they do is that they don't mention this on TripAdvisor and you will never come to know in which one you are going to stay. I am writing the reviews for CUBA BEACH CAFE PALOLEM (blue front with white background). Room was basic not premium but that's not the problem. The room had multiple holes on walls and on the floor. Lot of insects entered to the room through those. No mosquito net was given and ac was not working continuously for two days even if it was AC room and on the second day even the electricity was not there in this shack although all other shacks have it. The owner and manager kept lying for entirely two days with lot of excuses. But actually they don't have any generator for cottages - it is only for the restaurant. Honestly ac is not required but mosquito net was required so that we could have opened the windows. After that they used to keep loud music up to 12:30 am every night. We complained several times but no use. Talked to owner Dharmesh about it but still he did not solve problem. I booked for three nights but came out after two nights only. Also when all other shacks stopped the music by 11:00 pm, these guys still kept them on high decibels for cheap Indian music. Because of that all cheap local crowd used to come to this shack up to 1:30 am when other shacks were closed for dinner and they used to dance and make horrible noise and disturb the boarders of the cottages. I think this is absolutely against the crowd who want a peaceful vacation (specially for the travellers outside of India).... More

    We originally booked a deluxe full sea view hut but due to licensing problems they were only able to offer use a Deluxe hut with parcial sea view. The room was average no wardrobe and very limited hanging space so we had to live out of a suitcase for a week. The bathroom was unfit for purpose and had it been subject to a health inspection would’ve been condemned. Toilet seat hand-painted the vanity unit that housed the basin had flaking varnish. All the shower hoses were rusty and the actual shower had rotting wood around the bottom so centipedes and other creepy Crawley‘s came out see pictures. The mattresses were broken and I had protruding Springs coming through them and regardless of request to change there was no alternative. Considering that they are fully booked I would’ve thought they could’ve invested in renovating the place up to the standards of 2019 not from 20 years ago The breakfast buffet is the most unhygienic thing that I’ve ever seen nothing was covered and everything was covered in flies. I think I can almost laugh at it, but I was trying to put butter on a piece of toast and one of the staff help me by holding the toast Whilst I spread it. The people that work there are absolutely lovely and very friendly so I cannot knock them, the real problem is the total lack of management which was inexcusable. The beach is absolutely beautiful and close at hand if only they invested in doing these huts up from top to bottom at Rs.4000 a day it’s sufficient to expect something decent. Certainly not deluxe as described totally misrepresented. If the management take heed and refurbish these probably it would be one of the most ideal places to stay such a shame and disappointment that it did not meet our expectations ... More

    Perfect location to stay. Right on the beach, great market area at walking distance.They have great restaurant & bar, we did not go anywhere else during our stay for food or drinks. Staff was helping and had a positive approach all the time. This was the most relaxing stay we had. I will choose this again and highly recommended to all from our side 👍... More

Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies
  1. The standard check-in time is 01 PM and the standard check-out time is 10 AM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
