Wonderful Stay with Excellent Hospitality of Derby Green Staff

I had visited the resort with my family for 6 days (16-22) in December 2019. As compared to other resorts of Club Mahindra, Derby Green is smaller in area, room size and available space for other activities. But location of resort is very near to ooty town and have very good view. The excellent quality of service by resort staff make Derby green best place for perfect holidays. Each staff member of resort try hard to make your vacations memorable.The whole credit of excellent service goes to Resort Manager Mr.D.Illayaraja for guiding staff members for providing best possible services to guests.
Front office Staff is also very efficient. Check-in and check-out takes only few minutes time. The Front office Manager Mr. Ravi Kumar is excellent personality and always ready to help. He personally takes interest in providing better facilities to guests.
Activity Area of Derby green is smaller compare to other resorts but Mr. Mahalingam and other staff members organise Magic show, musical night, Bonfire and various activities to entertain guests.
Restaurant Food quality is also very good.

Hope For The Best And Do Not Be Disappointed If Things Do Not Meet Up...The studio room we stayed quite small, with wall paint peeling off near the wash basin, very weak flushing and ineffective WC. Luke warm water and no hot shower possible in this winter.many tiles have become loose on the path from reception to the room and I tripped twice. I invited the front office people to visit with me to see the problems that needed attention, surprisingly they did not accompany me to inspect nor they cared to fix the problems during my three days stay. There was some problem in their software that messed up my checkout billing and reward points were not fully offsets agains the dues. There was needless arguments. The concerns of senior citizens like us in their BLISS membership left frustrated by the front office staff. All they say we are helpless and we will take the matter, pl bear with us and never for a moment any sign of pro active customer friendly immediate action. As I have ten year membership, I left a complaint and usually such complaints do not get the response anytime stating problems resolved etc.
The restaurant chef, service staff simply outstanding, kind and willing to walk a little extra to please the customers. so also the bell captain, very helpful.

Stayed here in HU for 2 nights and the studio for 2 nights. The HU was a little small by CM standards - but they had informed this in the confirmation email. It did not have view. The studio was fantastic! It was roomy and a nice sit out. The food was very good and we enjoyed the live counters. The a-la-carte is too expensive and it is much cheaper to stick to meal plans. The activity centre has good facilities.

Even at 4pm the room was not cleaned.....excuse this is our practice.
Asked for Ice at 7.40 pm...was finally delivered at 8.50 pm after 2 more calls and finally after screaming at the restaurant manager.
At 8pm the fun zone was found shut. The next day found nothing in it except a pool table. Better they keep it shut 24 x 7.
Like a typical Club Mahindra the travel desk will be 30% extra. It is easier to get a Uber ir Ola for out of town travel and many good travel desks in Ooty town.
This is the worst Club Mahindra I have visited in the past 13 years and also shows the deterioration in Club Mahindra as an whole.

Like with all club mahindra's food is always awesome and great. Location is in heart of ooty. So one may not get the peace of mountains. But its very accessible to all the tourist spots of ooty. Nightview of the city if also great. Comfortable stay. Good activities for the kids including some adventure activities, family photographs, play room etc. Spacious room and Extra bed in the room was very helpful.
