    Good staff and good location , the hotel is located in Paharganj just 10 minutes walking from New Delhi railway station Also the R.K Ashram metro station is nearby It is a budget Hotel Clean and calm It is just next to metro plaza Hotel and in the same road with TG Tashkent Hotel Air conditioned rooms , free high speed WiFi, 24 hours hot and Cold Water in bathrooms ...     My friends and I were backpacking throughout India, first two nights in New Delhi (at Chander), then Jaipur, Agra and Varanasi before we stayed one more night in Delhi (Chander again) before our next flight. I can tell you that after all our visits in these cities, Chander Palace was the definitive worst hotel on all fronts. We are not especially picky, but after three nights in this hotel i can tell you this is not up to Indian standards. I think every single wall is dirty, every single towel, bedsheets, EVERYTING was dirty. One of the bathrooms had a huge hole where the "ventilation" is, leading into the "backyard", making the fan completely useless. Its also not particularily comforting thinking that all kinds of bugs can easily get through there and chill with me in my room. Service here is also terrible. I had to wait for three hours to get my prepaid room (through travel agency), while they kept saying "5 minutes". Seriously, it just got silly. They didnt seem to care about us at any time, as we were just standing there waiting for an answer and they just sat still talking in Indian. Also a lot of screaming and talking from the staff all day and night. Also, the last night we checked out rather early, so once we got out to the reception, one of the staff members who was sleeping in the reception sofa, went straight into my room and kept on sleeping in my bed.     Ok, It's a good location, but I'd rather walk the extra mile! I don't understand how they get to call themselfs a hotel?! Dirty (brown stains) and torn sheets (even when we in simple english asked for new ones), bugs, broken toilet seat, missing door knob among other things. We hade to ask the staff for towels, soap and toilet paper. Wifi kinda works in the lobby, not anywhere else. I would'nt recomend this unless you otherwise would have to sleep outside... Yuck!...     Filthy rooms. Dirty, stained, torn linens. Bathroom smelled like a sewer. Bugs crawling on walls. We demanded to change rooms. New room offered a broken toilet and a door with no doorknob, thus unable to be closed. Bugs in this room as well. Changed rooms again but didn't get much better. Loud street (immense honk rating in Indian traffic) just outside and you couldn't fully close the windows, leading to poor sleep. Offering Wifi that doesn't work. Not even basic English skills on all staff but one. Do not go here, it's not worth the money you save.... More

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
