on Nov 9, 2016
I like the apartment and it is in Ballygunge. The apartment is well maintained. I stayed in 3Bed room apartment ,which was good. And it was not equipped with microwave and washing machine. Thwy are letting the per room basis also.
Any want to stay near or around the ballygunge . I recommend it. But the approch road is not that good.
Decent rooms, helpful staff, but be warned..

They utterly do not allow guests into the rooms. The hotel is actually a 3 storey house that lacks an elevator.
On each floor there are rooms and a common area. Guests are allowed only into the common area of the ground floor.
I had some charts, books, and calendars that I needed to show to a few people (i thought I would make use of the TV to show pictures) and I was told this would not be possible. I asked if I could use the 3rd floor common area for the same, they refused.
The only option I was left with was to carry the stuff all the way to the ground floor each time I had to show them.
Since it is a house there is a small gate which is always locked. If you are returning late, you will have to hope for a light sleeper to unlock the gate for you.
Room service in the manner of food is non existent, despite the presence of a menu which lists about 70 items.
Unless you are using it just to sleep, and nothing else, I would recommend you to stay away from this. You can't meet friends or family nor can they come in sit and have a chat, even if it is your mum.

This is a business apartment hotel for a medium budget traveller like me.Whenever I visited Kolkata I checked in this hotel which was like a home away from home.
But it needs to be understood by the hotel management that sustainable quality and service are the differentiator to woo a traveller like me to stick to this hotel and the moment the thinking on" sustainability" is sacrificed it becomes very hard for any organisation to live long to its reputation.
Very basic necessities and infrstructure for a guest and cleanliness of linen should be a priority which never should be compromised...especially in a city like Kolkata where hardly any decent hotel is there within such medium range of tariff and that too in a prime location.
When it was opened it was no doubt a very good business apartment hotel but of late it is losing its sheen...
which should be looked into.
Last but not the least ...the breakfast spread getting shrinker day by day and I still believe it has all the capabilities to become one of the decent business apartments within a range of Tariff it is offering...subject to the owner and its employees are having that attitude to excel in a sustainable manner which matters most.

This rooms in this hotel are built in apartment format which is a great advantage for a group travelling together. The rooms are average sized because initially this building was intended to be an apartment building. There is a spacious drawing cum dining room attached to every block of 3 rooms. It is a residential area so there is not many options available for food.
The food quality was good.
Excellent for a group traveling together

Formerly known as Casa Broadway, the property has changed owners and is renovated to be called Hotel Broadstreet Broadway. Situated in the quiet and clean Ballygunge area, it is not very far from Park Street. Rooms are part of a 3BHK flat, so you either take the entire flat (which has a kitchen, drawing & dining room, balcony and 3 bedrooms with attached bathroom) or rent out a single room (in which case you will have to share the common areas with other people). Since its been recently renovated, its very neat and clean. There are lovely paintings on the walls. The bathroom is quite large and very clean (no bathtub in our room). Room is not very big but kind of gives you a homely feeling with its decor. Food ordered in the room was very tasty and reasonable. The staff is also polite and attentive. Free wifi is available though the speed is not very fast.
