    Great View from Hotel.....

    We went to Surynelli on 2018 starting, and we had a pleasant and refreshing stay at Capithans Bungalow at Surynelli. I spent two night on Capithans with my family and we really enjoyed morning and evening view from hotel and especially the ambience. Rooms are spacious, neat & clean and well designed and it includes TV, Fridge, Gas Stove, Kettle and Dining Table also. Restaurant also functioning well and they are serving tasty and quality food. But don't expect 5 star dishes because u are staying some where near to forest and not in the city. Road from Suryanelli to Capithans is not so good and really bad for small vehicles especially if you are driving a less ground clearness vehicles. My suggestion if you are using your own car, drive very slowly or use any SUV type vehicles. If you like to see Kolukkumalai View point, u can a rent a Jeep from Suraynelli town or u can request through resort manager. Anayirankal Dam and Spicy village also near.... More

    What a wonderful waste of money!

    We read the good reviews and decided to spend some time in this hotel. I have listed below a few things that I have learnt during our three day stay. 1. The Road: What you see is something that resembles a road in some places. But mostly a very steep pathway covered with huge stones and potholes. our vehicle got stuck three times in the approach road. As the manger refused to pick up the call we were stranded in the desolate road until the locals helped us. After 20 minutes of struggle and numerous calls we had nearly given up when the hotel sends some one to help us. So my advice DO NOT drive your own vehicle to this hotel(unless you have an SUV) 2. The Location: Picture post card beautiful. you are wrapped in a serene silence broken occasionally by chirping cicadas. The view is breath taking. There is a Harrisson's tea plantation and spice plantation nearby dotted with orange trees which makes a lovely morning/evening walk. We even spotted Malabar Mountain Squirrel at times. The Rooms: Spacious and well maintained. The Food: Borderline inedible. The complementary breakfast was good but the rest of the menu we have to be very adventurous. The fried rice could have been called curd rice and the curd rice was just cooked plain rice sans curd. Now I know why they provide a mini kitchenette. SERIOUSLY I can't believe a three star hotel can't afford a decent Chef, am sure the customers can cook better than this. The Staff: They are warm and friendly. Thanks Hebin for guiding us to the plantations and thanks Mathew chettan for your help. HOWEVER there is a lack of professionalism. On the way to the hotel we called in all the available numbers asking for directions but no one responded and our calls were even rejected a few times. But the most shocking was the check out. We told them the day before that we will check out 5 30 in the morning as the roads will be closed by 7 a m for repair. They graciously offered us bread and jam before we leave however at 6 ' O clock we found ourselves frantically running from floor to floor searching for a single staff. We tried all the service numbers: Reception, Security and kitchen but not a soul was seen. Hungry and frantic to cross the road before it closes we locked the room, open the gate and let ourselves out without being noticed by a single human being. Luckily our three days stay had taught us not to expect much and we were particular about settling the bill on previous night. It was really an adventure where you pay good money to be ignored and mistreated, where you tremble with fear to order any food in the menu because god knows how it will turn out.... More

    Most beautiful resort !!!

    We went to this resort during long weekend in August and it was much more than our expectations. The view from the balcony is mesmerizing. Room is of good size with extra space for changing and dressing. It also has attached dinning area with proper dinning table, chairs. Also have fridge, induction and tea/coffee powder etc. They also serve food in room if you dnt want to go out. During our stay, it was raining mostly so we preferred food served in our own dinning table. It's a must visit place for couples. ... More

    Stayed here for 1 night with family. The property is on top of the hill and the view is incredible. One side you have the Anayirankal Lake and on the other side you have the tea plantation with the hill on the backdrop. Room was clean and spacious, staff including the manager Lewis were also good. Nice Breakfast.. Overall super stay...... More

  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out.
