Nice location but not a resort
on May 16, 2017
Panaji is probably not the place where you will come to relax on the beach as these beaches are overcrowded and in the off-season they're dirty. The hotel has a good location though. It is close to the beach yet far enough from the noise of Panaji. There are some good restaurants in the vicinity.
The rooms are okay and the staff was friendly and helpful. For its price I think this is a good choice but it's not a resort hotel. Expect only a more or less clean room and some travel services and basically that's it.
The bus stops is in the front of the hotel so transportation is easy and cheap but you need to know your way as there are not too many landmarks on the way.
If you're travelling on a budget and you want to stop in Panaji this hotel could be a good decision.

We stayed here for 3 days. The Hotel is located near Campal Football Ground close to Miramar Beach. Convenient to travel by Public Bus to Station or to Dona-paula.They provide food on order from outside hotels. Room are spacious however not kept clean as expected. U can walk down d road towards Miramar Beach or towards the City through thick shadow of Trees. Good Hospitality. You can get Good view of Mandovi River, Gardens maintained by Forest Department while walking towards City. Calm n quiet experience.
Not that great, not that bad either. Just OK-OK.

For our annual break we chose Goa this time in 2016, as both of us husband-wife haven't been there in past 2 decades, since childhood. While searching for a good accommodation, I stumbled upon CAMPAL BEACH RESORT as one of the cheapest of the search query according to our budget. We paid 1400/- per day into 3 days we were there. The staff is good & helpful including the owner Jibu who's very courteous & decent guide. The overall facility however needs a lot of maintenance, repairs, replacements. For e.g. the Bed Mattresses needs to be discarded & replaced ASAP.
Campal Beach Resorts folks need a full-time dedicated Facility Manager who can bring the standards & overall experience up a bit. Another flip side being lack of in-house Restaurant. Meal orders are entertained by Papa John's Restaurant nearby, who seem to be bit pricey. One Breakfast per day costs approx 300 rupees for 2 people. Not that happy with the overall facility. We will visit Goa again but ensure CAMPAL BEACH RESORT is in the last priority despite being 2 kms. from Miramar Beach, 4 Kms. from Dona Paula, & 3 Kms. from the heart of Panjim, Patto Plaza.

This was a great location for the parade of Carnival. Other than that, we felt very distant from the central area. They would not accept credit cards. The staff was very helpful and pleasant otherwise. I don't have high expectations of hotels in India, but I felt like there were better places to stay for the money. No restaurant on site. Giant roach in the bathroom. It wasn't horrible - just glad I only spent one night. Also, very early check out time at 9am. However, they did extend the check out time to 10am when requested. And the big deal breaker - NO WIFI. Apparently, it's out of their control due to government restrictions.
