Another Perfect Stay!
on Apr 4, 2017
Back from our second stay at Moonlight and I feel I have to write another review. As last year, everything was perfect! This year we stayed in one of the rooms behind the restaurants, which are smaller but have everything you need, including kettle, TV and super-efficient A/C. Again, Santana and Teresa were the perfect hosts and when my husband was ill on the last day of our holiday their sincere concern and wish to help were very evident.
The restaurant has an extensive Global menu, with everything from traditional Goan food to Egg & Chips! I sampled quite a few dishes and all were cooked to perfection and very reasonably priced.
I feel I have to reply to the earlier review by Patrick V. Yes, some people smoke in the restaurant, as in all restaurants in Goa, but I would say they are a minority. Noise until 1am? Sorry, I don't want to challenge anyone's honesty but the restaurant closes at 11pm every night without fail! Our room last year was immediately above the restaurant and we never heard noise after 11pm! Personally, I highly recommend this place, whether it's to stay or just for a meal.
Do not go there if you do not drink or smoke

After a hectic day ahead of Kathmandu, we arrived late at this guesthouse that we had chosen on the basis of the good reviews on TripAdvisor.
The room was spacious and clean, with attached bathroom (slightly on the small side).
We had to ask new bottom sheets, as these were too small on the bed to cover the entire mattress. We also had to ask to clean the fridge, as it was very dirty inside.
This guest house and restaurant is mainly visited by British tourists, who from the early morning at breakfast drink beer and smoke cigarettes in the restaurant. You're constantly on the sigaret smoke during breakfast. Even at night in the restaurant it is very noisy too - the second night of our stay the laughter and cries lasted till 01h00 so we could not sleep earlier. It looks more like a pub than a guesthouse. Normally we would stay twelve days, but after this noisy night, we decided to move to another guesthouse.
Certainly we do not come back here!
Perfect hospitality, faultless

As always we visited the moonlight for a couple of breakfasts and an evening meal while staying in candolim, I cannot speak highly enough about the food, staff and cleanliness 10/10
Great little place just around the corner from the Silver sands holiday village.

we stayed in candolim for 3 weeks and although we had breakfast included in our hotel we chose to have ours at the moonlight on several occasions,we also had the famous sunday roasts and i must say they were all very good, will have to try a curry next year. Sontana gladly showed us a room which was just right for us, everything was so lovely and clean we have booked it for next year we are so excited. thanks to Sontana and his lovely wife Theresa.

Lovely restaurant situated off the main road. We stumbled upon this little gem by accident.
Authentic Goan food as well as a great selection of other dishes. I loved my chicken biriani. Great service and very reasonably priced.
Would definitely recommend!
