This resort is a bit away from the main town. The views from the room are quite good. Restaurant is nice, but not pure vegetarian. There is a recreation room with indoor board games. Being thickly forested, walking outside after sunset is not safe and the road is also not lit.

Pleasant Place to stay in Munnar

Bracknell Forest is a small resort but a very pleasant place on the hills surrounded by Cardamom plantations and Tea estates near by. We got a beautiful view of hills and forest around from the room, mornings were very pleasant at Bracknell Forest with vocals from different kinds of birds, Red-whiskered bulbul could easily be spotted from balcony, evenings were windy and cold. The room we were offered was good and clean with wooden roof and flooring, hot water was available in washroom with towels and toiletries. I didn't see any fan/AC in our room, looked like its on purpose as its always a little cold even in the sunny afternoons. The food was excellent at Bracknell Forest, we had our breakfast and dinner there and can say the cook was really skilled. For breakfast, he prepared a very tasty coconut chutney with Idli and I couldn't expect such a great taste of Chhole given the geographical location it was served at, needless to mention with an amazing tea. The staff was very courteous and helpful, if they saw you struggling with something, they would immediately stop by offering help without even asking.
Lovely place to stay

I was slightly disappointed that the cardemon 'plantation' was rather small. But I came to realize it was large enough. We had a beautiful room, a beautiful balcony opening out onto the jungle, carpeted with cardemon bushes.
The friendly staff guided us around the hotel and even the spice drying factory. The dining room is very nice. We ate mostly South Indian food and it was delicious.
The hotel is located on a very steep hill so we did not walk as much as planned - also it rained and stormed one whole day. Still this a very enjoyable experience.

We stayed two nights at Bracknell Forest on our tour of the tea plantations. Nice large clean rooms with fantastic balconies up among the trees. Food was good quality and Jose in the restaurant is very attentive. The roads in and out are challenging but all part of the adventure. There is also very little to do away from the hotel but a good base to explore Munnar from.
