    Stayed in Bouganvilla in Mid August 2019.The property is an old bungalow with a small garden & lawn available. We had booked a Deluxe Room for ~3.3K(Agoda) and the staff delighted us by upgrading to Luxury Suite. The price for deluxe room 3.3K was on expensive side compared to similar properties in Ooty, but the upgrade balanced it out. The room had some residual paint smell due to renovation work done 2-3days back, the staff specially (Murli) was so helpful & understanding for the problem, and inspite of bad weather did whatever possible to better the situation. The staff of Bougainvilla Murli, the cook, and another caretaker are truly awesome and provide great hospitality & good breakfast..... More

    Ooty itself a very beautiful place in our India and if we select stay at this kind of place then it's a best holiday's you can have. We had a very great experience at stay in bouganvila. The staff is very kind cooperative and understanding. It's a very clean and beautiful place to stay as we stayed there for 5 days and price is worth to stay at this place to feel like home. My parents and kids had a wonderful time thanks to their staff for having our wonderful stay.... More

    I stayed in Bouganvilla in June 2019 for few days. I believe the main assets of the property are its staffs - the managers, the cook, the other helpers. My actual rating for the property would be 3.5, and the additional boost of .5 is for the people. Bouganvilla is an 180-year-old bungalow. The structure is quite robust and the owners have kept it almost as it was. I was told that it underwent very little renovation (no renovation was required) and it does maintain its charm. It is near (between 1-2 km from) the city center, bus stand and the market. Outside it, towards the right, there is a big plantation ground. You can walk down for 5 minutes to reach the beautiful tree park - Arboretum. The property manager can arrange transport at reasonable rates for sight seeing. The common areas are kept clean. Grassy lawn, lots of flowers all around - the property is really very picturesque. Food was very good, customized according to the taste and instructions given. The cook was very polite and attentive. We wanted non-spicy and less-oily food and instructed the cook accordingly. He prepared the items to perfection. I found the food to be bit expensive though. Green salad was Rs. 90, each chapati was Rs. 20, to give few examples. You also have the option of ordering the food through Swiggy. As the place is very much inside the city, Swiggy delivers here. If you are planning to book rooms (there are total 7 rooms), you may also look to contact the property/manager directly, you may get rooms at lesser rate. I realized it during my stay there, when some potential travelers were inquiring about the rates by directly contacting the property. MMT charged higher price (even after discount coupons) to me. There are few possible improvement points too. They can clean the rooms proactively every-day/every alternate day. Each room can be provided with an electric kettle. Some more variety can be included in the complementary breakfast menu. Before ending the review, I must thank the staffs of the property - the manager (Mr. Murali Joe), cook and helpers for making our stay there very enjoyable. If I travel to Ooty again, would love to meet them definitely.... More

    Bougainvilla is around 1.5 km away from bus stand and 3.5 km away from the lake.The road that leads to this place is in a bad state.If one doesnt have any vehicle ,then its a tough luck to stay at this property.There is no general store or basic good restaurant nearby this so called guest house.The basic deluxe rooms lack proper cleanliness and there is green mould on the ceilings.Hot water in the bathrooms is a big challenge.The rooms are very close to kitchen and there is no privacy to keep windows open as anyone can easily peep through the windows.The staff though is helpful but unfortunately if u are looking for comfort 3 star ,this is not the place to select.Breakfast is very basic (uttapam or khichdi or idli) and even omlettes are not provided (u are told to pay extra).Please see real pics....     Having only 7 rooms in the villa then too its been mismanaged. Rooms are not ready even after the customers are arrived. Washrooms are also not clean, basic utilities things also needs to be asked for and after that only you get it like towels, napkins and toilet tissues. And the chef only know hardly few thinks to make in veg items. Not at all advisable to family travelling to ooty.... More

  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out.
