Thoroughly enjoy meeting and staying with the Bansal family. Breakfast was great home cooked food, rooms were big clean and tidy. Air conditioning and hot water with very friendly and helpful hosts. A great welcome to Delhi, highly recommended.
Most helpful hosts ever!

I can't say enough about how glad we were to stay here. Ajay was beyond helpful and accommodating - helping us arrange (and rearrange) drivers and other sightseeing, even as we missed flights and had to completely change our plans. He guided us smoothly through our short visit in Delhi and helped us make the most of every minute. The family was filled with warmth and great advice, from how to find a rickshaw to the best places to see. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and was much more beautiful and authentic than a western hotel.
If you haven't traveled around Delhi before, know that having a dependable, kind, wonderful host is worth far more than any hotel room price. While the room, tea, accommodations, etc. were all great, I didn't realize how much I would value Ajay's help. I am so glad our friend recommended we stay here!

I had to spend a couple of nights in Delhi on business. I had never been before and had no idea where to stay. Plus I was on a budget so booked a hotel in Paharganj - notorious Paharganj. A friend who lives and works in Delhi told me I was crazy and should just find a guest house in South Delhi. The place he suggested was booked, so I chose this place. Very, very happy I did.
Ajay Anand and his wife are superb hosts. The rooms are in an annex at the back of their house in Maharani Bagh, a gated enclave not far from some of the major sites: Lutyens Delhi, the great Mosque, and depending on the time of day no more than an hour from the airport.
My room had firm king size bed, separate toilet/shower room and a little entry way where you could make tea. I had an article to write my first day there. Wi-fi in room was very swift and the room itself was very, quiet (by Delhi standards). A broad-bottomed chair in the window nook became my writing place and the work went very smoothly.
Food was tasty.
But best was service. Anything you need, from a car to having laundry done could be arranged in moments by Ajay. He enjoys conversation with guests but is also happy to let you go about your business. At breakfast I met some very interesting people who were also staying there.
I wish this place was a couple of thousand miles closer to London. I would use it as my writing bolt hole.
It was my lucky day when I chose this place.
