    My partner and I recently stayed here on holiday and enjoyed both Florence and Palazzo Lombardo so much that we extended our stay. As a guest house, they are unable to serve food, but with so many gorgeous little coffee shops in east walking distance, this wasn't a problem. Titziana is the delightful lady who runs the guest house, and she couldn't have been more helpful. Always greeting us with a warm smile, she was happy to call taxis, give directions and just generally make us feel very welcome. We were very sad when it was time for us to leave. The guest house itself is 1920s though refurbished, and is decorated with a beautiful balance of modern and vintage furniture, giving the place an old world charm. Very simple and comfortable. Though not located right in the city centre of Florence, you'll have no trouble getting there via a cheap taxi ride, walk or public transport. If you're staying in Florence, we highly recommend staying at Palazzo Lombardo.... More

    Fine Residence Terroible Service

    The location of Palazzo Lombardo is a short distance from downtown Florence and SMN station though easy to reach by a frequent bus service. The Palazzo is a fine building with attractive traditional furnishing and is very clean. The room was spacious and clean. The negative factors were 1.Check-in was to suit the reception rather than the guests who have often travelled long distances.2. There was no hot water available on afternoon arrival for a wash. 3. There was no breakfast available at this residence which was explained by the receptionist due to Palazzo Lombardo being a guest house rather than an Hotel. She recommended nearby restaurants for breakfast 4. There was no hot water available until 8 AM the following morning. Perhaps these factors seem trivial though they certainly would prevent recommending the Palazzo Lombardo. As a visitor to this beautiful city over many decades nothing could spoil any visit, however on this occasion the appalling quality of service at Palazzo Lombardo was quite disgraceful and did some damage to the reputation of Florence as a tourist destination...     Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. They were very Friendly and Helpful. Its Clean and secure and all staff are very welcoming. Its located near the train station and in a quiet area but the bus is only a few minutes away to go into the center. We had a lovely stay there and would recommend this hotel to others.... More

    buon giorno a tutti, we love the place and have stayed there before. The impressive building is away from the touristic hustle but the City Center can conveniently be reached by public Transport. There are nice Restaurants nearby (e.g. 11 Leoni, Viale Fanti), or one of the best Bars/Gelateria/Cafés in town, Badiani at Viale Mille. The Hotel owners have outsourced the Management. The owners used to be there anytime and made you feel home away from home. The new employees might try to be friendly, however, service is restricted as their hours of work and presence. Much can be improved: if breakfast is not served anymore, please install facilities in each room to boil water for coffee or tea. Please install a safe deposit box in each room. Now, it is very complicated to bring or take personal effects from the hotel safe. There is no wardrobe just a shelfboard and a clothes rail that can only be reached with a "fishing hook". Guests should actively be informed that the employees are not there before 09:00am or away in the evening. We are from Switzerland but our friends from the US had to leave very early in the morning and no-one was there for checking-out. So again, very nice place but re-visit will have to be considered on the grounds of improved Services. Thank you. Best regards, DMR Zurich-Switzerland... More

  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
