    Best place to stay

    It was a short vacation to Pondy and the first choice to stay was at Le Pondy. It’s a great Resort with a private access to beach which is very clean. Resort had well sized room to accommodate family of 5 and had all the required facilities conveniently. Pool was clean and clear. Though all the rooms were booked we never felt the crowd and there was no disturbance at any time. Resort had a nice green play area for the kids where they can enjoy playing with rabbits. Food was fantastic with quite a good spread on buffet. We never realised how fast the time was spent there and is a superb place to stay...... More

    Looks and feels beautiful!

    The place is definitely the most beautiful and so is the location , but the staff is not adjusting, when people are on a holiday they wanna do more like walk on the beach at night, which is not allowed. Breakfast is awesome but maybe lunch and dinner better in the city!... More

    Not Up to International Standards

    Firstly, this resort is in the state of Pondicherry, not actually in the town of Pondicherry, but 14kms away in a tiny village with no other amenities, along a badly maintained and littered road. We paid for a lake view room with a safe box and were first given a room where the lake could only be seen in the far distance, from behind other buildings and without a safe. We were moved to another room with a safe. Reception staff then lectured us at least 3 times that we mustn't forget the safe code and must leave the safe open on departure. The shaver socket didn't work, the hair dryer was ancient and cut out after 30 seconds (they did replace it though), the phone cable flew out the phone on first use and there were very few English TV channels. The floor was dirty, so the first day we had to wear shoes all the time. On the 2nd day we asked them to clean the room properly. The verandah blinds couldn't be rolled up as many of the cords were broken. The shop was always closed, and when we asked reception staff they said it no longer functioned and there was no shop now. This wasn't actually the case as it did open briefly on our 3rd day. However, it only sold clothes and tourist stuff and as the resort is miles from any other shops a shop selling snacks, ice creams and cold drinks would have been much more useful. The gym consisted of a few dusty, broken pieces of equipment shoved in a corner on the terrace above reception. The spa room, like the bedroom, was tired and uninspiring and in need of cleaning and maintenance. Crows were a constant nuisance littering on the bedroom room verandah and also actually sitting on tables in the restaurant - completely unhygenic. Food hygiene is an issue - jam is put on the table in used jars. Twice we had to ask for the jars to be cleaned. they were greasy on the outside and had food from previous users mingled with the jam inside. We asked if there was any transport available to go into Pondicherry, and were quoted an outrageous amount, so much so that we reduced our 5 night stay to 2 nights. Staff need training and better management, and their English was often difficult to understand. We'd heard such great reviews about this place in the past, it was really sad to see how it seems to have gone down. The only positive parts of our stay (and reason for a 2 score) were the very clean and nice pool, the beach access and large gardens (sadly, also in need of work). Everything here could be so much better but we got the feeling the owner's interests are now elsewhere.... More

    Average Food at an Exotic Location

    I visited Le Pondy for a business dinner. The property was exquisite, well maintained and ideally situated beside a lake and the sea. The atmosphere and environment was great for an evening meal.     Lovely quiet property by the beach

    Stayed at the Presidential villa for 3 nights. It’s a lovely quiet property far from the hustle bustle from the city. Perfect for a weekend getaway and some quality family time. Huge property near the beach, well maintained and the food is good too. The staff is really nice and helpful. Only issue is they should work on WiFi connectivity especially in the rooms. ! Definitely recommended... More

Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance

  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
