    Stinky blankets and pillows, no heed to complaints

    We had a halt at Mumbai for a day and booked an OYO certified room, turned out we are getting assigned this hotel at plot no 186. The place was ok-ok, neatness wise. Bathroom was too dirty and lights were shady n dim. The blankets and pillows smell of fungus. We were served poha in breakfast which tasted too sweet, the staff ran out of bisleri and we had to wait for an entire night. I would sincerely advise to avoid this place, there is no management staff. There are little children employed who are not empowered to take decisions.... More

    This place does not look at all like the photos. They promised free breakfast, which I never saw and did not receive any service on the two weekends I was there. The sheets smelled horrible, like they had never been washed, and they did not get better after I requested they be changed. Do not expect any privacy as the staff will barge into the room unannounced throughout your stay, and you will share a flat (it is NOT a hotel) with other guests like flatmates. One time, the staff even left my door open after entering my room, and leaving after hearing that I was showering... this lead to a rather uncomfortable experience as I tried to quickly shut the door before the other guests saw me without a towel! Their wifi is a joke and does not actually reach the rooms. None of the other guests in adjacent rooms seemed satisfied with the service or rooms either. I really think the positive reviews are faked reviews placed by the owner. Do not stay here! This place is hardly suitable for even one night!... More

    I booked through stayzilla and had an extremely unpleasant experience here. Rude staff, poor service, unsafe to even store the luggages, since they wont give you the keys. Stay here, only if you feel like you deserve a paid punishment... More

    Firstly, I was shocked to see the location of the Hotel. It's in a residential colony(Which is still ok) but the route you have to take to get there is horrible. Jam packed roads, took us about 30 mins to cover a 5km distance. That being said, we were quite happy when we were showed to our rooms, clean.(That's their oly USP) We had done our booking through Mr. Amit, however upon reaching we were greeted by his mom. All things done, we were asked to take the rooms on the 3rd Floor. The owners stay on the 2nd floor, with one other room for guests. Now begins our roller coaster journey with racist (Yes, I said racist) pigs. 1. No rooms have intercom, show you have to physically go down stairs, even if you want a cup of tea. 2. The owner was very specific about paying the entire amount the day we checked in. (I guess, she knew people will run after a days stay) We however obliged since it's their terms and conditions. 3. Picture this, one of the fellow guests (Japanese) looses his simple "Nokia" phone. So the owner, comes running to all rooms to check (which was still ok) until, he STAFF yells at me, for one such visit to the kitchen to ask for a cup of tea. 4. The owner defends the rude staff saying there has never been a theft before (Message received) 5. Stayed for 3 days, we didn't get the "free breakfast". 6. I accidentally remove the pillow cover to see the horror, Disgusting dirty pillows. We sensed the indifference from the host and staff the day we checked - in. It was probably got to do with us being dark skinned. Or I may be exaggerating but nonetheless, the stay here, left a very bad taste in my mouth. Never again! I wouldn't recommend this place.... More

Overview

Bamboo House endows its guests with a lovely stay in Mumbai. Guests can opt to book their stay in any of its spacious rooms. Each of these rooms is nicely equipped with comfortable beds, spacious wardrobes and TV set to watch your favorite shows. A neat attached bathroom ready with constant supply of hot/cold water is also available. Room service is taken care of by polite and efficient staff members in these rooms. Other facilities like onsite parking, efficient laundry/dry cleaning facility and backup generator for non-stop power supply are also available. In-case of any emergency, medical help is also offered at this budget hotel in Mumbai.

Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
