Reasonably priced hotel near railway station
on Dec 9, 2018
New King Hotel is a budget hotel located close to the New Delhi railway station in the heart of Delhi's backpackers district. Since it is a budget hotel, you cannot expect too many luxuries. However, you can expect a comfortable stay.
Mold - dangerous for your health
on Dec 3, 2018
Horrible. The Rooms and the beds where we stayed were full of mold. Back home we discovered that our sleeping bags smell completly like mold. As well all the clothes. Really unfriendly staff. Expensive for what you get. Not a nice street. First bad hostel experience so far in india. Don't do it!
Hotel was okay staff didn't advise well

We arrived late in the night (2am) at the airport and our transport to the hotel was still there so that was nice ! After a short night, we had some time with what we think was the owner, he scared us a bit as we were in India for 3 weeks so we take his advise to book a driver for a day.. worst idea ever... we only manage to visit the red fort and eat at two places. It cost 1000rs and we could've just walk that or take a tuktuk for much less... Also, it's not a good place to book train or bus ticket... just go to the train or bus station, you'll find there.
Otherwise the room was fine in general. Hot water available at all time. The location is a bit tricky at night but you get use to it, it's still safe.
Best place I’ve stayed in India
on Oct 30, 2018
My holiday in India had consisted of grubby hotels and hostels with no hot water until I booked new king at the last minute in a 4 dorm room. The team there immediately welcomed me, helped me get my money back from a scammer in Delhi, and provided me with the best stay where I met people and felt extremely welcome. It’s in a cool busy little alley with lots of local markets and shops in the hustle and bustle of Delhi. Highly reccomend !
A good hostel

Kuldeep, New King, backpackers heaven, or whats its called lol, is a nice place. Its kinda hard to find since its in an small alley close to the main bazaar road. Raj, Gopal and Vicky are helpfull in keeping you aware of Delhi's scams, and they help you with your onwards travels. Dorms have fans instead of AC. Hygene could be a little better, but for Delhi standards is fine. Location is good, close to Delhi station and the bazaar. A hectic location, but a good location! Would recommend staying here.
