    You should read this before booking Backpacker Panda goa.

    am a frequent traveller and I have experienced so many different types of stays till now, backpacker panda (goa) becomes one of my worst of that. Below are the reasons. 1) The first impression of the location was good but then the behaviour of the receptionist is not welcoming and she behaves so rudely, forget about that they will help you with any of your requirement. 2) I was travelling with my friend during the new year, I booked 8 bad Dorm for two people after seen all the pictures of the room on Makemytrip but after reaching the hostel they allocated us two different rooms none of them is the same as which we saw online, they give some random reasons for that which are non-realistic. 3) How rooms are there? The room which they allocated to me has no curtains on the window which is just next to my bed. AC is not working, they put it on fan mode and even they didn't provide AC remort. 4) WiFi service and cell phone. WiFi service is soo poor that even when WiFi router is in the same room where I am staying yet it was not connecting and due the location of the place the cell phone networks are also not available, which means you'll be left with no Internet connection....     There are many great things about this hostel. Being so close to the beach was wonderful, as was having Goblin, the mischievious little kitten, to play and cuddle with. Chill vibes at the hostel with the Den being a nice place to hang out, chat and meet new people. The food served here is absolutely amazing, as is the service. Animesh will go out of his way to help you with anything you could ever need, and is great to hang out and chat with. It feels more like a family than a hostel. There are somewhat frequent blackouts, but this seems to affect the whole area, and luckily doesn't seem to occur overnight when AC is needed. The only issue is that the staff on in the morning tend to stuff things up a fair bit. You can order an omlette with two pieces of toast, they'll double check you want two pieces and then only bring out one piece. After you ask for the other piece and they say they'll bring it out, they might somehow forget still. They'll double check you want chilli and then not include it. They'll also make an iced coffee on chocolate ice cream. It's really odd because nothing like that would ever happen with the staff on in the evenings, it's honestly like a completely different place in the mornings. The masalla omlette is delicious... But you have to be lucky to actually get what it says on the menu, even when they double check with you. 100% recomend staying here, just either avoid eating here in the mornings or accept that it's a bit of a gamble and you'll get what you get. ...     Extremely unsatisfied with the service. We had booked 12 beds in 2 different rooms ( one 6 bed room and one 8 bed room)and had got the confirmation of the same. We had also contacted customer care whether we ll be given the same 2 rooms or not before our booking for which they agreed without hesitation. Also called them at noon on the day of arrival confirming the same. After we reached there, reception guys said that they cant accommodate us in 2 rooms and could provide the beds in 5 different rooms. They made us to wait for more than an hour to confirm the same. Absolute horrible experience after travelling for 14 hrs. Had to cancel our reservation because of this.... More

    People Are Very Friendly And Helpfull. Reception Is 24 Hours Open. Literally 2 Minutes Away From Candolim Beach. If You Stay At Backpacker Panda You Can Also Get 10% Discount on Mama Cecelia Shack. Awesome Experience Love To Go Again. Night Guard Siddhant Bhai Is Nice Helps A Lot. Feels Like Home. Played Cricket There Also. No Restrictions, Just Chill. Money Was Well Spent.... More

    Great location and ambience

    Having to pay only 200 rupees for a day here felt like such a steal to me. The location is absolutely fabulous. There is a off road from the hostel directly to the beach. The look and feel of the place is brilliant and it is managed by quality staff. Did not try the food there as I ended up cooking myself. The Outdoor shower is a great. They have a huge lounge area thats open and gives a Goan vibe. Definitely a great place to stay.... More

Overview

Backpacker Panda Goa is located just 100 meters from the main road at the Calangute/Candolim border. A stone's throw away from the beach and easy to reach from all the key places in Goa. It is a hostel in Goa that provides free Wi-Fi connectivity to the the guests. There are 4 dormitories in this 1 storey property. The rooms are equipped with kitchenette, tea/coffee maker, kitchenette, and cooking facility.

Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
