Good price for Mumbai
on Dec 19, 2017
It is a bit out of the way of the main sights - it takes 2 trains at about an hour - but that is reflected in the price. It is a bit odd that you cannot drink here but the staff are helpful and good Wi-Fi everywhere. Had a bit of an issue with the shower not working very well at all in our dorm which was a bit annoying. Worth it for a short stay in the city.

Negative points :
According to the notation on hostelworld, we thought that this place was great.
Honestly the staff wasn't welcoming at all, just a smile sometimes can by great...
Strict rules, I've never seen this in my life for a youth hostel!
No alcohol allowed, if so we can be expulsed, no good ambiance. Check in and check out must be very respected! No eating in the room, a guard is here all the time to look at the people..
The location is very bad and far away from the center. It's very long with the metro and in uber it's more than 1 hour.
The price is too much expensive for one night!
Rooms are dark, no windows
Positive point : the rooms and bathrooms are clean, hot water.
Value for money

Value for money.. located not very far from airport.. maybe about 6 or 7 kms. Seems like a good place to get a nights rest without shelling out too much money.
The food is also good.. definitely manageable. Its a good place to find and chat with foreigner travellers visiting India.

Very good service, good behaving staff, rooms are clean and well maintained, cheap in rates, I feel safe in these hostel the thing I like about these is hostel is it near chakala metro station, so easy to go any where in Mumbai metro is connecting to local trains and hostel is near by airports.
Perfect for a first hostel!

Backpacker Panda is central and very helpful to someone who is new to traveling. The staff are amazingly helpful for a range of things! The facilities themselves are very nice and is by far one of the most sociable Hostels I have stayed at!
