Nice and different place

The Aravali tent resort is Jaisalmer kind of tent resort.
It's perfect blend of old stay type with new age facilities.
Staying here is peaceful experience.
They have tents with Air conditioning and attached toilet and bathrooms.
Campus very big.
Veg restaurant is available within campus which serves good food.
Children can also enjoy play area.
Only suggestion is to check tent for completeness and cleanliness.
Try for different experience.

very very bad experiance with this resort authorities . i had done booking on 10/09/2017 & i have still as on date [23/10/2017] not received my refund of the booking amount taken by them . they are calculating the cancellation charges of 15 % on the total package amount & not on the booking amount taken by them which is not at all viable as i have been to many resorts & hotels in india & abroad where they are not charging the same on total package amount but only on the advance booking amount paid , so i request to be carefull before booking this resort . also there is not responsibale authority to give reply also in a proper manner .

Aravali Tent Resort

Staying at aravali resort was a completely different experience for us . If you are an adventurous person and wants to experience living in a tent , then this place is meant for you. From outside it looks like a tent however inside its a beautiful luxury room.
When we talk about the resort it is surrounded by trees and at night this place doesn't fail to mesmerized you. Staff , service , food, price all are excellent.
Giving 4 just because they need to do some renovation on their tents as now they have started looking old and teary.
I am wondering who gave all the good reviews
on Aug 13, 2017
This place is really not worth being called a resort. None of my reviews start this way, but unfortunately I have no choice. Usually there are some good and some bad reviews about almost all the properties, and so we decided to trust all the good reviews for this one and assumed that bad ones are just one off experiences. And we were wrong.
We have been to many tent resorts before this and some of them were actually in the middle of thick forests but we never felt so helpless. This one is right at the heart of Udaipur and still its not kept well at all. We reached and they told us that we have upgraded your rooms from deluxe to luxury, but when we got the rooms, we were totally disappointed. When we requested for alternatives and we were ready to pay more, they said that they were full. I will list down the problems later, but then we ordered food. We could see mosquitoes floating in the gravy. Well, we decided we will not have food here anymore but being a nature lover we decided to stay there at least. Then we went out for a few hours to see lakes and other sights. When we came back, our tents were home for variety of insects including lizards, snails, leeches etc. And of course many varieties of mosquitoes were there already. Then we realized that the tents were not fully packed. They were open at many places and being surrounded by a lot of vegetation this was bound to happen. This is when we decided that we will not sleep here because we didn't know what all could actually come inside our tent when we were asleep, and this place is known for being habitat for various reptiles. Other problems that we faced include:
1. Broken main door
2. No shower curtains
3. No place to have proper shower (only bathtubs were there)
4. Fungus filled curtains and tent
5. Bath tubs were not clean (looked like someone had spitted there many times)
When our complaints weren't resolved by the staff, I called up makemytrip because this was booked through MMT and they gave assurance for this. When they connected me to the manager, he promised to solve all the problems but then the staff at site started talking rudely to us. I was on a call and he almost shouted at my wife asking what is the problem now, we have resolved everything. This is no way to treat your guests. And after seeing all sorts of insects in our tent, there was no way that we would stay there anymore. We immediately called another hotel and left this one. Even while leaving they created a lot of trouble for us. They denied all refunds despite this being under MMT assurance. Finally MMT provided me a refund under their assurance scheme (they were so helping at this point) and the hotel guys still asked me to pay taxes and they didn't also provide a clean invoice where MMT terms clearly state that the invoice is to be given by the hotel.
This is no place to stay period.
